I reckon there'll be around 65,000 on Monday, unless the weather looks fantastic in which case may push 70,000.

Just to get you going - do you think the concerns over the Etihad surface are valid, and will it have affected any of our lads this week?

I reckon there is a concern there; that footage of Higgins was appalling. The AFL is floating down a river in Egypt surrounding this, or worse, are deliberately ignoring the clubs and hoping it goes away. I'm not sure you'll get too many players/clubs saying much out loud about it; wouldn't want to go against the grain and speak against the AFL Doggies are reportedly having a quiet word to the AFL about it, and I'm glad to see Kennett is giving this some airplay.

Tim Watson on SEN was saying once off games at Etihad aren't too bad; it's the repeated game there that wears down the players, due to the firmness of the ground. Regarding affecting us; we already looked dead on our feet at the end of the game, so I'm not sure playing a fast paced game against the Dogs will help much. Won't be overly surprised if we fade out again in the 4th against the Dees - hopefully we'll have done enough to cover it

Yeah I am bit Concerned, Knee Injury Just waiting to happen. Glad we just 1 more game there against the Eagles

Would also like to know the answer to this although I feel we may get a very biased answer from Dave on this one.

From what I have seen of Blight, both on TV and in person, he looks like yet another player that is scared of his own shadow.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything from him to suggest that he is as good as a lot of people on here say he is.

(Very happy to be proven wrong here though guys.... )

I know it's Daves thread, but I'd be surprised if he didn't poll votes against Hawthorn.

I was just mentally flicking my mind thorugh the games so far, addled as it is by scotch, lack of sleep and evil thoughts regarding Carlton, and it occurred to me Daisy would have polled a fair few.
Totally apart from his excellent and consistent form ha has the attribute umpire seem drawn to. The blond locks for sure, but he is not in the forward line, does some excellent work off the ball and in the packs, has he fair share of running bounces etc.
I reckon he may surprise and get quite a few votes this year.
Did not poll a single vote last year.
