Which means you're banking on someone who hasn't played for 12 months and averaged 85 in his last full season to step straight into play a position you'll need to average a minimum of 105 to make it anywhere during the year? Oh and stop cash flow production because you'll have a non playing FWD rookie then. Yeah that sounds like an absolute blast

bad score is still better than no score, Ryder is in my team exactly for that, if he isnt as good as Tippet etc don't matter I don't expect him to lose money. Pro footy player, he hasn't forgotten how to play footy, but I see your point RB.

Did Goldy die over the offseason and I missed it or something? If he is fit, he'll be in all of our teams post the bye rounds. Averaged 108 on one leg last year. Interestingly they opted to not have surgery and has therefore had a managed preseason. Only reason I am not rolling with him from Rd1. But I'm backing 2017 to see the return of Studly Todd.
Wash your keyboard out with soap TBAmigos. Including Hickey and Grundy but missing Goldy should be a crime.

Taking Witts is no different to taking a high priced rookie, except that you have some form to base your decision on I guess. He's a no from me FWIW. Can't see him scoring enough to make it worthwhile

Goldy isn't 100% right ATM he'll play but he'll be managed during the season. Majak will be getting games put into him which doesn't bode too well for Studstein is my general gut feel. He's had a chronic knee for a long time and manages it well.

what is the difference between having Witts at R2 (acknowledged by all and Sundry at GC that he is the number 1 ruck and it is his spot to lose) - say he scores 75-85 and Fyfe at M7 versus Grundy at R2 and a mid rookie - either way you are spending 750 odd K for 2 players.
