F: Neville Jetta , Matthew Bate , Liam Jurrah

Int (from): Tom McNamara , Shane Valenti, Brock McLean , Jordie McKenzie, Mark Jamar, Jake Spencer, Russell Robertson

In: McLean, McKenzie, Rivers, Jurrah, Robertson, Jamar
Out: Bruce (Wrist), Bail (Quad), Newton (Achilles)

No Watts, however the dropping of Newton suggests we may not be tanking this one.

Obviously great to see Jurrah back and also McKenzie.

Jamar in the ruck should help too.
Help? Or hinder? ;)

You'd have to hope Mcnamara will be given another run. Therefore I think our bench could be: Mcnamara, Valenti/Mckenzie, Mclean, Jamar

Sorry maggers and stickman but as this was the first thread posted, I'll post in it to try and keep it going. I think the other two should be closed, sorry guys!

The 4 on the bench depends on fitness, but I'd go for:

Int:McNamara, Valenti, McLean, Jamar
EMER: McKenzie, Spencer, Robertson

Freo look pretty strong with McPharlin back in, I can't see us winning this unless if we experiment like we have in the last 2 weeks.

A minute too slow ... damn lol..

But yeah. Found it strange they have named 3 ruckman. I wish PJ was the one to go, but it will most likely be Spence.

I don't see the point in playing McLean, he hasn't been 100% the entire year, now he is actually coming off an injury and they play him when I would rather he rest up and comes out next year 100% and not risk doing something else.

Really hope McNamara and McKenzie get another game (a few Mc's in the team now jeez).

Can't see Robbo getting a run this week. Would be nice, I can't see him around next year so would good to give him a send off against a backline he would make an impact against. The Blues and Saints will make him look a joke... I'd like to remember him on a good note...

I know Bailey's squad usually have players all over the place but does anyone think that Jamar won't play? Every time he's come in to the team he's been named in the starting 18, I know where players are on Thursdays means bugger all usually but just a hunch.
We could go with Martin in the ruck to back up PJ, or Spencer of course. We've got enough up forward with Jurrah, Miller and Bate and they haven't played Stef down back for quite a while now. It wouldn't surprise me too much if Jamar doesn't play but I'd like to see him battle against the freakshow. Jamar was a huge part of our comeback against Freo last year with his tactic of jumping early and not letting Sandilands get near the ball.

I hope Col puts on a brilliant display, would love to see him finish his breakout year on a high note.

Would also love to see him win the Bluey.

Very excited to see Jurrah run about again- and also hope McKensie gets another crack, he needs to show what he can do.

Also:
GMB- your post re: Duritz (and his parents failure to use contraception) on the bay was brilliant. :D

Crying shame mods removed it! EDIT: and carded you good sir!

Can someone please explain to me the red card situation? I couldn't be bothered reading the terms and conditions....

GMB- your post re: Duritz (and his parents failure to use contraception) on the bay was brilliant. :D

Ah... so THAT's the reason GMB got carded while I was away. Wish I could've seen that post too, it sounds like it was a corker!

Incidentally, Duritz is SO easy to wind up as well, you only need to crank the handle once ;)

PS- Seems like whenever me and GMB are on the Bay at the same time, the whole board explodes :D

Newton out, thank god.

The tank is over.

Demons will win this by 90 points. Jurrah to kick 12.

Agreed... however; We should win by MORE then 90 points. should be three digits lol.

As for tanking being over... not quite. Win this game and lose the last two. Might aswell have picks 1 and 2. Even though it would be good to be the only team to beat the saints over 22 rounds :D (please get picks 1 and 2 though in all honesty)

And as for Newton... who cares what happens, he's out. Lets Party LOL

How we should line up, looking forward ro seing Jurrah again. For mine Jamar has been one of our most improved players this year, i think he has polled votes (426 Memorial Trophy) in every game he has played this year.

I have been really impressed with Petterd in the past 4 weeks. It will be interesting to see how he lines up on broughton this week.

Davey will go nuts this weekend, freo haven't got a quick run with player!

Why name McLean? He's far from 100%, he won't come up, they should just bench him for the rest of the year & get a bloody pre-season into him.

Mmmm, ignorance is bliss.

Yes you might have been correct last season, but the player personnel at Freo has changed vastly in the last 12 months.

Let's just see who matches up on Davey, I think we have a "blanket" for him.

Anyway let's hope for a good hard honest game, and not a borefest.

Broughton, he is a possibility however they need him elsewhere Schammer? Wayyyy to slow. Who else?...no wait i have it... they will play Solomon on Davey! That'll do the trick. Mark Harvey you are a genius.

I also hope for a good hard honest game, however i really think it will be the softest affair i have ever seen.

Crowd? What would be a decent crowd for the game? I think we got just under 20,000 last year(that could be wrong)

We've got to stop more of them than the other way round. Dodd would do the trick on Davey but I'd use Hill, he'd match up on Davey very well.

I'm pretty sure our crowd last year was around the 15k mark, not 20. 18k would be very reasonable.

Good to see Robbo back, I hope he plays out his last 3 games really well, and takes a few big marks and some goals. Although he might be the type to just have one last go this week and say that's enough (for MFC anyway).

Spencer dropped but no Jamar means Martin gets to do some time in the ruck, which is good for him.
