Ok no worries leave everything the way it is and don't play finals anytime soon.
Patience grasshopper ..... I come in peace

Not happy we lost so many winnable games. We could be 6-3 instead of 3-6.

Still in with a chance to play finals .... Have faith....stick fat.

They both play a massive role.

If coaches had no influence in winning flags we wouldn't have them.
They have a role before the game but once out there it is up to the players. Coach can influence to a degree with positional changes but still up to the players in the end.
I think we have a good group of players they just need to put it together for four quarters as still a young group and a few new players this year, once the chemistry builds up don't think we will have too many games like tonight. I hope...

Yes we are still relatively young and inexperienced across the field which often leads to inconsistancies.

List build is still not complete either. Still light on through our spine.

Lack some pacey class on the outside too.

Think we have creative fwd types in vfl to replace Blair long term in Kirby and Daics.

On the flip side selections, questionable game plan at times (can be hard to discern sometimes if execution or plan leads to failing) fwd system has been rat shit under bucks, gameday tactics like Blair CHF... and many other issues leave me scratching my head at our greatest ever player Nathan Buckley.

I would love nothing more for Bucks to do a bomber Thompson but I lost the faith about 18 months ago and think we are pushing shit up hill.

Fair enough, respect your opinion. I also agree on team selection at times like this week, really thought Shaz deserved a call up and I don't think that Cox should get a gig unless due to injuries.
I just see things differently especially after watching the Geelong/WB game, don't think that game plan differs that much across the league at the moment, just execution.

Yep a few teams are copying some of what we do but often with tweaks which is what many have called for.
Think we press the hardest of any team going both ways.

I still think rebuild is needed, I hope i'm wrong but the most Collingwood thing ever is losing next week
I think we need to finish rebuilding more so then start again.

The team is incomplete no genuine 2nd KPF, lack of pace and class on outside and next 2 to 3 drafts we need ro look at a 2nd gun KPB to replace Reid. Think McClarty will surpass Schade next year at FB.

Coaches have an influence but no where near as much as people make it out to be IMO. Especially with Collingwood now I'd put it down to the players being more responsible for the current predicament than the coach. I seriously doubt the game plan was any different for the first quarter than what we saw in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters, especially given the side we selected. We just executed it better after the first.

No the first quarter was deplorable. But if he's going to be held to blame for that then he should get the plaudits for getting a team to fight back from that position and win going away in such fashion.

Nonetheless he's had his time and unless there's a miraculous rest of the season then he's gone at seasons end. But sometimes, just sometimes you can see a good style of play.
Hey Jimmy long time no speak, you ever thought we wouldn't have to do it this hard if our coach wouldn't make monumental blunders that even a work experience kid on his first day at the helm would be embarrassed of?

How about playing your best tagger on the other mob's best mid, or maybe just maybe playing Cox on the dry night after he's actually earned the call up and we've lost Reidy instead of gifting him games in the wet, or gawd forbid not thinking that someone like Blair deserved to be retained in the first place and was capable of being our sole target in the forward 50 at times???????

Watched about 3/4's of the game but didn't see any game changing moves, that win came purely on the back of our boys lifting the work rate and Hawks fielding arguably the worst side in over 10 years.

Despite having a rep of a "hater" I've been known to give Bucks credit where it's due, for last night's win he gets big fat nothing from me.

wrapt with the win but its still a band aid over massive cracks. Bucks is still a horrible coach. A shit Hawthorn already then massively depleted by injury amd we only just win... Meh.

Just on your point about tagging Mitchell. They asked him about this in the presser and he basically pointed out as politely as he could that yeah Mitchell had a lot of possessions but he wasn't doing any damage with them so they didn't find the need to tag him.
Have to admit he does have a point. It was a claytons 50 possies.

I don't care how efficient Mitchell was, I'd rather half of his posies were shared among our players.

This debacle and the subsequent denial of culpability is the carbon copy of the time Bucks let Gablett have leather poisoning against us a couple of years ago, back then he did eventually admit to being wrong few days later.....
