7 Mate interview of Goodes immediately after the "imaginary spear throwing" match...on the ground.
Why even bother to comment if you have so little idea of the events?

Obviously you're not capable of having the mental faculty to look up previous posts. I have edited my previous post to make it more palatable for your feeble thought processes.

1. I'm over the AFL and it's community and the AFL media trying to be moral compasses. Telling me how to behave and what I should think. I want to boo just for this alone.

2. It's actually putting me off footy. I go to the footy to watch footy, and as part of the crowd, be involved with clapping, cheering, high fiving, booing and bit of yelling. And for putting me off footy I fell like booing. And, being honest, the juvenile part of me kind of wants to boo just because I'm told not to. So again I feel like booing.

3. I am also sick of them trying to shove footy players down my throat as being role models, when clearly many are not. Let the natural role models emerge, the Nick Riewoldts and Jarrod Rougheads. And for this I want to Boo.

4. Sorry but Adam isn't a role model for me. I have never really liked him as a player, even during his brownlow years. And for various reason such as the way he plays the game, diving, dirty acts, the ridiculous way he stages for free kicks and even to the fact he was a great player that helped beat my team.

5. However, more recently Adam has become more out-spoken about issues close to his heart, which I have no issue with whatsoever. I actually agree with his message. What I don't like is the way he goes about doing that. More precisely I feel that Adam is being divisive and not inclusive. In particular some of the public comments he made after watching the film Utopia (for those that want to try and take things out of context his Australia day speech was fine). I did think the whole pointing the 13 year old girl out was not a great way to get his message across, especially considering one the quotes from his Australia day speech was, "I’m not here to tell you what to think, or how to act to raise your children. All I’m here to do is tell you about my experiences and hope you choose to be aware of your actions and interactions so that together we can eliminate racism." Funny seems to me I'm being told very much what to think and how to act. And for being such a hypocrite I want to boo.

6. Then the whole war cry thing. Firstly this wasn't a traditional war cry as it was invented by some 16 year old Indigenous boys, first performed only a few years ago? These boys also performed this war cry at the start of the game and towards the opposition, as they were inspired by the Haka and thought it would be cool to have something of their own. Adam premeditated his war cry during the game and at a Carlton crowd at one of it's nadir's in their entire history Who exactly was Adam declaring war on? Oh it was misinterpreted and we didn't understand the meaning. Sorry I should be aware of all the non-traditional acts performed by all people so as not to offend them. It must be our fault. We didn't understand the war cry and the act of throwing a spear at the opposition wasn't meant to incite at all. Our stupid fault. Whilst the war dance in essence is fine, and if Adam feels it is a good way to celebrate his heritage well kudos to him. Just don't tell me the timing (during the game) and direction (at the opposition crowd) was apt. And for that I want to boo.

7. The last but not least thing is how the PC AFL have created a completely ridiculous situation whereby to not be racist we have to treat Adam differently to everyone else. We have to segregate him from all other AFL footy players. Sorry I must be slightly stupid but isn't segregation and the treating of people differently the exact thing that racists do? The irony in this is ridiculously laughable. And for that I want to boo.

8. I believe this is in essence is why many people boo Adam and not for racist reasons. I also take umbrage at being told I am racist if I do have the temerity to boo and that again just wants to make me boo more. I won't be booing Adam though and not because the AFL told me not to or because I will be labelled a racist, but because Adam finds it personally distressing and it has physically affected him. Although it does make me ponder the old adage about heat and kitchens, and just is another reason why I don't really like him and the way he goes about message sending. And for that I want to boo.

9. How people won't answer this entire post and will pull little parts out of it and try and spin it to justify how they label me a racist. For that I want to boo. My guess is you're one of these people.

So there you have 9 reasons to boo and what not 1 of them racist. How is that possible?

Just accept the fact that there are plenty of people who don't like Adam and it has nothing to do with his heritage and may very well explain this level of unprecedented booing.

Skipper Kelly where did you go?

You asked for a reasonable explanation to the reasons why Adam received the unprecedented levels of booing. And you got it.

What no response?

Or are you too busy casually calling people racist because they say they don't like Adam?

Anyone else feel slightly different about Australia after this?

It seems we're so quick to turn on each other and assume the worst and insult ourselves. Instead of backing each other and saying "Goodes has been a tool" - we start turning on ourselves, the media insults us and says we're a nation of racists and we're disgraceful etc. Every high profile person jumps on board in order to protect themselves from being called racist, then suddenly we're all racist scum for disliking Goodes. I didn't think we were this pc and terrified of an offended indigenous person. It's just sickening.

I'm not even watching the footy this weekend because I feel so put off by it.

Does racism exist in this world in your opinion?

Unless you're from a non-european background you cannot criticize Goodes for re-acting in the instantaneous emotionally charged manner that he did.

An analogy (none are ever perfect) would be someone shouting out distasteful jokes about a player's mother just days after she's passed away. The shock and anger that would immediately wash over a player at hearing that in wouldn't surprise if he asked security to remove the a-hole culprit as well or make it known he'd take matters into his own hands.

Clearly the word 'ape' strikes a raw nerve in Goodes pysche, it's very likely that he was belittled and de-humanised with this word in his childhood. Let's be honest here for a second the word 'ape' directed at someone who's not european has 99.99% (if not 100%) of the time carried a racist intent which is to imply he/she is 'sub-human'. The same cannot be said when 'ape' (or derivatives) is aimed at europeans.

So it's the height of arrogance for any sensible fair minded person to expect him to have been cool, calm and collected and had the presence to of mind to analyse the situation, gauge the perpetrators age accurately (personally I thought she was between 15 and 17 when I first saw her) and decide it isn't worth it, all within a fraction of a second.

About a week ago the mother came out demanding Goodes apologise for pointing out someone out yelling racist slurs in the spur of the moment. No doubt the bogan mother is being emboldened by the idiots who claim Goodes is in the wrong and bringing this all on himself. Never-the-less it still says a lot about the mindset of this woman to think her off-spring caught in public yelling out specifically to a non-european person what is commonly accepted to be a racist term, is owed an apology. It speaks volume really.

Perhaps we move in different circles but in 42 years I have never heard ape as a racist slur.

Perhaps the kid was being racist, perhaps she was not. Criticising and pointing out the kid on the field is one thing but bullying the kid until Wednesday in the media is another.

Kids f up all the time, especially if they have bad role models or parents. In short two wrongs don't make a right.

lol half of these aren't actually reasons are they =just your 'pet hates'!

The poll proves that while some are "saying the right things" in here, siding with "reason" as they put it, they are voting for all the reasons why they originally led to booing him, that he's a tool to a lot of Australians.

Seeing vision of Goodes on the SNF pre-game it made it look he got no booing when he kicked that goal. Turns out in the true vision he got some really late and quick bronx booing as he kicked. But they selected the angle which showed the most tepid area of the crowd with no one standing up. And the audio was from after the goal during replay vision.

I hope it made Andrew Pridham upset hearing live that he didn't 100% eradicate booing with his moronic statements. "I've got news for you Andrew, you attempt to shame the booing of just one player, and you are a delusional emotional dickhead. Australia says f you"

the world needs more social justice warriors like you

Nice to see him still get booed.
Honestly I didn't care until the Premier commented on it.

It was barely audible, even at the ground (no idea what it sounded like on TV), and many times when he got the ball, it was not there at all. A clear departure from what was dished up to him in Perth. Whether he can expect the same treatment in an away final against Hawthorn, Fremantle or West Coast is another question entirely.

What was dished up to him in Perth was primarily after the Schofield incident. He was barely booed before.

Why even bother to comment if you have so little idea of the events?

Proof you didn't read what you quoted.

To make it simple for you, I wanted a source for "Your not being able to comprehend the plethora of "logical" reasons Goodes may be booed already put forward, apart from your first, incorrect, choice of "racism' is your problem."

Show where I have stated that?

As for your bit about the interview. You made this part up
Goodes clearly fabricated the story of the dance being for the under 19's benefit.

And you made this part up
Even he knew he had made a bad decision, as evidenced by his quickly fashioned story about the dance being nothing to do with the booing...

He explained the dance in the interview. That you don't believe him is your problem.

Skipper Kelly where did you go?

You asked for a reasonable explanation to the reasons why Adam received the unprecedented levels of booing. And you got it.

I had no need to read beyond your first two sentences.

But now I've read it doesn't explain why there has been booing unprecedented in recent history.

Or are you too busy casually calling people racist because they say they don't like Adam?

Show me where I said this?

According to you Goodes did a bad thing in address tge ape comment.

no

I am suggesting he handled it very poorly. On the day and the heat of the moment, his actions were fine.

but once he discovered it was a minor a public statement of "I have discovered the young girl is a minor and as such we will address the issue respectfully behind close doors".

SO no, addressing it was not a bad thing................HOW he addressed it was a bad thing.
