Just beat the rush to the local Aldi (I was due to do my food shopping tonight anyway, so besides getting a couple of extra bags of lollies, it was a normal shop for me).

By the time I left, people were waiting outside for trollies.

Attempted to go to the local Coles/Woolies for some stuff I didn't want to get at Aldi. Both had massive lines. Saw the butcher next door had a queue of 5 people, and Big W was dead. That saved a couple of hours of queueing.

Yeah I needed to get some things from Woolies but I saw the line and walked straight back out.. **** that.

The no exercise outside is mental.

Seems similar to the Melbourne curfew in that it just makes it easier for the cops and harder for people to find loopholes.
I for one am devastated that I will not be able to go out for a run. It was definitely the highlight of my week and I never looked for excuse to get out of going.

i went to Coles at the Avenues shops just after the announcement and already about 25 people lined up and thought **** that and just went to the OTR down the road to get some dog food, will order online tonight and either get delivered or pick up

I'm definitely getting a bike ride in this evening, as who knows when the next time will be.

The no exercise definitely sucks but if it means keeping it to 6 days then I'm all for it.
Those with a backyard pool would certainly be in a good position, especially given the weather over the next week. For me, I'll just stick to star jumps.

And if it turns out the six days is in fact much longer (just like every other lockdown) will you admit you got fooled AGAIN?

Anybody who supports a ban on outdoor exercise for 'health' reasons is a ****** moron, period.

How easy would it be to ring-of-steel Adelaide? Could have spared the regions from this - pretty unlikely that it'd have gotten as far as Whyalla or Mt Gambier

I suppose the Hills and outer north make it difficult to draw a line somewhere?

The problem is the random bunch who have visited that Woodville Pizza place. They could have ended up anywhere.

Im prepared for this to go on much longer than 6 days but surely they can’t maintain the no exercise component longer than that? Not everyone has access to a home gym or is willing to do starjumps on the back lawn.

Not everyone actually does exercise.

I'd be 99% sure that's the first thing gone. Even six days will be an ask for some - poor dogs.

I'm half-wondering if it was done for shock impact. People here took any opportunity they could to bend the rules - could have been even worse in SA with the complacency developed.

They are saying its a fast version
so go hard go early and hope for some good luck

SA virus strain is extremely fast moving
Jill Margo

Health editor Jill Margo has this report on the speed of the South Australian virus strain, which authorities say has a very short incubation period and can make people infectious to others within one to three days after exposure:

The virus can go from one person to another, making them infectious, all within three days.

“This strain has a very, very short incubation period. When a person is exposed, it takes 24 hours or less for them to become infectious to others,” says Chief Public Health Officer for SA, Professo
r Nicola Spurrier.

DON'T fu** THIS UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont **** up but she creates pandemonium with her rules which will inevitably create cases to justify longer lockdowns. The shops were madness

People are kidding themselves if its just 6 days also.

Health first but Dans open, cant exercise outside by yourself. Think this shit through before supporting it. Cyclists cant ride to work like that makes sense...
