The 'I'm Sorry' Thread.

I would like to apologise to JR8 who was probably the most frustrating player on our list for the first few weeks of the season. Not because he was shit but because we knew he could do better.
The performances where it looked like he will never kick a set shot, look disinterested and lazy have now been replaced with someone who's pulled their finger out and now chases and seems to be on roids because we all get that exciting feeling when he is one out in a contest knowing he will probably mark it.
Dont ever go back to your old ways Jack ;)

Andy Collins, I'm sorry, I think you may be better than I gave you credit for... now prove it.
Shane Edwards, not sorry for bagging you earlier in the year, but damn have you turned the corner!
Newman, sorry... you have been fantastic recently.

I'm almost.... sorry... to... Matthew White!! The headless chook seems to have found some purpose and direction for his jets. Keep going.... run Matty, run!!

**** me... quit with the apologies. Its only 3 wins and we're still the bottom side. There's 9 games to go, so for all the pats on the back that most of the above will get, they will also get their fair share of kicks in the arse.

Jake King is still a dud. For the love of God, 2 games of effort doesnt win you a contract (well it shouldnt!).

The most surprising performance of the year (other than Jacks obvious improvement) is easily Angus Graham. But l'm not apologising. I've seen far too many one-hit wonders to apologise for anything.

Only other to have "surprised me", but is still suspect is Andy Collins.

I am sorry I tipped the Tigers all season.

If I didn't do that I might actually be up the top of the ladder somewhere :P

I wouldn't be too upset CQ :p

Same here but i have had a awful year in the tipping.

If you think Andy Collins is suspect then you are either a very hard marker or have less idea about the game then i gave you credit for.

Or maybe you don't realise he has only played 18 games.

18 games exactly.

I am a tough marker, but l also recognised that l have been surprised by his development - its a sort of back-handed compliment, l know - just not getting carried away with it. We've had plenty of blokes that we're masturbated over after a 20 game stint.

I like the kid and when l first saw him, l didnt. But l'm not getting carried away... the references to Stevie Johnson is so Richmond-like. Just providing some balance. :thumbsu:

ps. Typical PJ - responding to posts only when it suits him. Havent had the decency to reply to my PM. Bit gutless dont you think?

Some success starved Richmond fans are getting a bit too excited. Still a long way to go, we have the worst list in the comp.

Agree on King. Was terrible on the weekend. If we want to improve we can't carry duds like this that continue to make such simple skill erorrs that Auskick kids wouldn't make.

White was good on the weekend but I'm not saying sorry just yet. He's okay one week, deplorable the next. Decision making is still a huge worry and when put under pressure he panics big time. 5 years in the system, 60+ games experience, he should be consistent. Still have massive question marks over him and his long-term future.

We have the youngest list in the comp. If we had the worst talent then we would have the worst list in the comp. But we could have the best list in the comp in 3 years for all you know

coulda shoulda woulda...

We need to change the ifs in our list. And there still so many of them mate.

;)

Yep, his 83.33% eff was a shocker.

Also, his second half when needed was fantastic. But i am stunned you have had a negative againsed him, as you are normally possitive regarding King

Well for starters, his first kick was down Jacks throat. Jack missed the goal.

But as its the sorry thread, im sorry Barnzy for thinking youre only an negative poster.

It's really sad that after so much crap for so long and so many false dawns supporters like you still love to applaud and encourage such mediocrity. Oh well, carry on.

I'm sorry that Wally Matera and Barnzy can't leave one thread alone without bringing their "we're shit, you're all idiots, let's tank!" mindset into it.

I am sorry to the old lady in the seat in front of me who I accidentally spat beer on when Edwards kicked the goal that sealed victory.

I did the same thing vs St Kilda when Jack took that hanger. Except it wasn't an old lady, it was a young mentally handicapped lad. He was too busy loving the mark as well to care though, so it was all good.

Im sorry some players will never get credit when credit is due. Credit doesnt mean a new contract or being part of the future. Credit is just a rewards for a job well done.

Chin up, bud. These kicks in the arse you mention have been coming swift and often in the past 15 weeks. No doubt there will be more in the next 10 weeks. In the mean time, nothing wrong with a few words of encouragement for the efforts of the past month. I don't see too many people suggesting the whole list should be signed up for the next three years. Just a few people acknowledging that some players aren't always as bad as they may have thought. :thumbsu:

never really doubted anyone

apart from vickery
never been much of a fan of him
but the last couple of games his played ive been impressed :)
