He wields that much power? That its felt even after he is gone?

So no one else at the club could disagree with the almighty Brent Moloney? I know the club is weak but that seems too far fetched, even for Melbourne,

Do you know what Footy Fanatic is?

I was joking.

I definitely think in this case, you've put your foot in your mouth

In what way? What statements have I made that qualify as putting my foot in my mouth? That Brent's statement was dumb and ill-conceived? Shall I retract it?

I think I have more of a right to attack him, than you do to defend him. I think I know more about him than you do. I think I know more about his character and playing history than you do. I'm almost positive (unless you've somehow been to more Melbourne games than I have, or been around the club more than me) that I've seen more of him than you. My club has been impacted by him more than yours has.

You didn't address the majority of what I wrote. You only chose the points which suited you to respond to. I have my bias's and faults...I agree. But I think you're far less informative and objective than you think you are.

I hate it when people pull out the "you need to calm down" retort on the internet, but I think you need to calm down. You are howling at the moon right now and it's really not clear what you are getting at. Rambling about me being a mod (which you kindly edited out afterwards), a pissing contest about football knowledge etc. It's all such a... disproportionate response. o_O

looks very reserved on fc. would love to see an open interview on his true thought, didnt seem angry at anything going on at melbourne

To not hurt Gary's feelings for being the douchebag who helped pick him.

Maybe so, it's refreshing to have such an experienced football/performer like Caro, comment on such matters though, she's certainly more than qualified to comment on such matters.
We are all lucky we have Caro.

100% but the board are too stubborn to even consider the kennett idea, for god sakes if my club was in the state melb are I would want them to clean every little bit of crap up and it starts at the top. They have a perfect model in port adelaide they were there this time last year. No excuses just get it done!

Which club?

Oh, you mean your franchise.

I was thinking it was like AFL live. Or is it the dodgy trying to be football manager game?

I've got AFL gold but have not played it yet.

It's like a dodgy version of the manager game - it's a classic!

I just checked, Fitzroy had a percentage of 49.5 at the end of 1996.

Melbourne's is currently 49.76.

At round 11 Fitzroy's percentage was around 54.

Puts it into perspective how dire things are.

You're opposed to his comments. I get that. But you've put your foot in your mouth in regards to defending him outside of this comment, based simply on the fact he's on your list.

I'm not going to continue going in circles with you. I've argued a far more objective and informative argument than you have, or (imo) can.

End of.

He (A senior AFL recruiter) added that the decision to choose Brighton Grammar star Jack Watts over West Australian Nic Naitanui in the 2008 national draft could hurt for a long time.

“Jack’s a good kid, but he never really had to fight for things, and that worries me sometimes as a recruiter,’’ he said.

“We all know the street that Nic grew up in was pretty tough. He had to fight for everything.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. And that includes the decision to draft Watts over Nic Nat. Seriously. What a load of crap.

Staggered Neil Craig was appointed senior advisor, staggered he is caretaker coach.

I've been consistent on this.

Neil Craig showed he was unable to engage a young (hello) crows list, was incapable of arresting a rapid decline on field, of the 9 losses out of his last 11, they suffered a 96 pt loss to the demons and a 103 pt loss to the saints that saw him resign.

How he was a good fit for Neeld or the demons, I have no idea.

The young list was not engaged, and they got spanked, not much changed.

Probably a great footy person, but we tend not to read use by labels in this industry.

Neil's would read "keep for 7 years after opening"

Now Lloyd says on footy classified "hope NC lets them play with flair and instinct" which for mine sums up what sando did at the crows once he left.

Neeld needed someone very different

According to the Twittersphere, Ricky Petterd responded to Moloney's instagram with a clapping hands emoticon (then deleted it). Jordan Gysberts clicked like.

Social media ftl.

Still seems to indicate Mark Neeld was a knob/crap coach/not liked.

Yes, but also that Melbourne has lost nothing by losing those three. Moloney has done okay at Brisbane, but if you allow a bad relationship with a coach to completely destroy your form you don't have the mental toughness or pride required. I wanted him even up until early this season, but now very glad Brisbane got in first.

I think they have lost when the have 'gained' Byrnes, Rodan, Gillies and Pedersen for some more 'experience'.

Surely those 3 would be providing more than that quartet they brought in.
