Even if the Progozhin push spectacularly fails, it is clear that the cost to Russia is going to be immense.

No matter what, this is a massive setback for Putin at best.
The best result is that they reach the gates of Moscow, the centre of regime support.

Oh s**t… hopefully they rip themselves apart
You and I don't see eye-to-eye on much but at least you don't overtly support Russia in this conflict. 👍🏽

This is interstate from a hardcore pro Russian nuff.

You are currently floating somewhere between #2 and #3. Will we see you get to #4 soon, do you think?
  1. That didn't happen.
  2. And if it did, it was probably a psyop.
  3. And if it wasnt, that's not a big deal.
  4. And if it is a big deal, then it doesn't matter anyway.
  5. And if it does matter, I never said otherwise.
  6. And if I did, I'll shift the goalposts.

Are you now at #4, SimpkinByTheDockOfTheBay ?

Why had the other vehicles stopped before the explosion
Probably got an aircraft ping on their radar, or similar, and the drivers and personnel jumped out into cover. Maybe lacking adequate AA measures for this particular convoy.

AA probably difficult to operate on a bridge. Beams/structures in the way could mess with detection and tracking.

Definitely, but depends on the systems (I know the USA’s is pretty good). Usually a battery will be stationed near important bridges, but maybe not in this case.

Interesting that there were earlier reports floating around that a technical (basically a civilian truck with guns/launchers on it) was able to down one of the regime helicopters.

its a bit weird the way those guys are just wandering around tho.

Wow this is different. I went to the lantern parade in lismore today, didn't expect to see this when I got home.

Flight Trackers apparently have multiple planes that are frequently used by high-level Russian government officials as all departing Moscow;

Very possible that it was a refueling stop, or similar.
