took me almost half of last weeks show to work out it wasn't her.

It was on in the background at a housewarming I was at and someone flicked it to 7 for the start of the suns game and my head almost exploded tbh.

It has to be instructions from Channel 7; how else have all of BT, Bruce, Commetti and Darcy all gone from good to horrible commentators recently?

Seven have been very open that their entire business model is predicated on making football attractive to people who don't like football. Hence the wacky commentary, half-time celebrity features, lie detectors, and probably Sam Lane too. They paid more for the rights than a saturated market can justify so have to expand it through whichever hideous means are available.

Until they lose more viewers to Foxtel than they can coax over from The Biggest Loser they'll keep it up.

I like her writing about cycling. She may not suit your lofty standards but makes it easy to understand for someone like me (who knows sweet FA about it)

That's pretty much spot on. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Carlton BTG crew actually didn't breathe a collective sigh of relief when she announced her departure.. assuming she wasn't moved on of course.

well no whether she is annoying has no real impact on whether she is a good television presenter. content and delivery decides whether she is a problem or not. right now, it seems like she's being told what to say during the half time panel thing, and when she does go off the script, her delivery is chunky and slow. those are her problems

I can't have been the only one losing their shit when the umpire paid two 50 metre penalties and BT went on and on and on about it,calling the umpire stupid when all he had to do was shut the **** up and listen.

You were not the only one to lose their shit at that particular incident.

I don't know why the radio stations don't just delay their broad casts by 1.5/2 seconds.


Even at its best there is no way I'd choose 7 over SEN Friday (and as a fill in) and MMM Sat to Sunday.

I got one of these for my dad for his birthday, it's great. We just stick it on the ABC and get pretty insightful coverage and no ads (ads shit me). It can be a bit picky about where you need to put it to get clear reception but once we found the place, no complaints.

I don't mind Richo. Call me crazy, but I've actually always liked him and reckon he goes okay at what he does in the commentary box.

The thing that I don't get is this:

Who actually likes BT's drivel?

'scuse the French- but he makes a dickhead of himself, week after week after week, just like clockwork. His buffoon act was mildly funny for one week- now it's just boring, annoying, unfunny and predictable as hell.

At what point did Channel 7 decide that their commentary would be better packaged as some rubbish comedy side show? And why?

I honestly find it very hard to believe that any sort of market survey- style exercise could extrapolate that the average mug punter likes or wants the bullshit they carry on with.

Channel 7 a Commercial Broadcaster is appealing to the theatre goers - Those that will watch some games. Hence the way they are jazzing up the commentary. They know that rusted on supporters will be watching.

Kennett is such a fool. He and the rest of those who continue to sook need to understand that they would have stolen their way into the 2011 GF. Collingwood was a vastly superior side for the year (except when the Cats were involved). They didn't make 2011 because they weren't good enough to do it.

I dont mean to keep targetting you but I disagree with this. Collingwood were gifted that game through poor umpiring in 2011. Hawthorn deserved to make the 2011 GF because imo they were better on the day. Having said that, I felt they shouldn't have made it last year as Adelaide were robbed, so swings and roundabouts...

Worthyness is not judged on a season but by brief moments such as a single game.

I have no care factor for any of those clubs but they werent uncommon opinions from neutrals at the time by any stretch.

Don't mind richo or ling, even can mooney on fox is doing really good work. I think the main two problems are Darcy and BT. Get rid of them and they are laughing.
