Players taking absences due to mental health reasons was still frequent back in the day, just used to be under a faked injury or sickie. Now with people being more open about it, it's being listed as a reason far more often than it used to be. No shame in it IMO.

In the cricket world, Will Pucovski made a double ton the day he alerted his coach to his problems.
