The logos colours are a holdover from their previous colours which were black, teal and white.

The club has had a bit of an identity crisis when it comes to colours since their beginning.

When they were founded they wanted to wear blue and white, but Cronulla announced their colours first and with Newtown, Canterbury, Parramatta and the Roosters all wearing blue led Penrith to adopt brown and white. Then in 1991 they switched to the licorice allsorts jersey and colours of black, red, green, yellow, and white. They dropped the yellow in 1997 and then changed to black, white, teal and rust in 2000, then they dropped the rust officially in 2010, and finally have since switched back to the allsorts colours in 2017, but the logo which was released the year before the switch back has yet to change to the current colours.

As for meaning, there really isn't any that I am aware of.
Thanks

And now it is time for...the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs...

Now I will be the first to tell you that the dogs are not my favourite team. In fact they sit near or at the bottom of all teams in the league and have done so ever since I first saw them play in the 90's. But even though I dislike them so much, I still cannot accept it when they wear designs that are not reflective of their heritage. This seasons jersey is certainly one example of this. The club doesn't wear V's, they have the yoke, and this years jersey is just horrible. So when it came to my design, it was easy, keep the tradition, keep the yoke, have the team play in what is instantly recognisable as a Bulldogs kit.

The above description should give some hints as to what may be done for the away. Tradition is key, but how will this be represented?

Stay tuned to find out...

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs continued...

I have not been a fan of the bulldogs using an inverse for an away. It has never really looked that great, and once they started trying the black and blue version of the home it really hit home that this wasn't working. However this year they have worn their heritage stripes design and it has really worked. So for my away I have returned the club to the traditional butchers stripes with black shorts. This design is an effective away design and keeps to the history of the club.

Tomorrow I shall tell you a tale, but not any tale, a silvertail...

Before we begin there is a slight look change on the template from now on. The number has been lowered as it was becoming quite noticeable that the number was too high and the balance with the sponsors logos was off.

With that done, up next is....the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles

For the Sea Eagles there was really nothing to do but give them the classic stripes look. White shorts with double maroon stripes on the side and simple white topped maroon socks finishes the look.

A simple look for the home, but what did I do for the away? An inverse? A reworked classic? Something new? No, it's nothing new, but it isn't an exact recreation either.

Stay tuned to find out...

A simple inverse would have worked for Manly but there is a design of theirs that I think is iconic and works perfectly as an away design. That design is the "Pepsi" jersey from the 1990's. For this design though I didn't replicate it exactly and changed the colours of the thin vertical stripes from their original Pepsi red and blue to the maroon and blue that the club uses. Combined with an inverse set of shorts and socks from the home completes the kit.

Tomorrows designs will bring a lot of smiles, perhaps 1300 of them.

Stay tuned...

And up next we have....the North Queensland Cowboys.

The cowboys have had some interesting uniforms since they began in 1995. But one design has always been the pinnacle and best for them and that is what I have given them.

So what about the away? Horns, V's, inverse?

And now it is time for the...Melbourne Storm.

Another easy one today, the lightning bolts are back.

That is all good for the home but the away required a little more thought. What will it be?

Possibly my favourite design of the folio so far - there’s just something that works really well when lightning bolts are used effectively on a sporting jersey.

Glad you included the gold on the jersey! To me they always look incomplete without it.

You may think differently after this.

Melbourne Storm continued...

For the away I considered using white, but then while I was looking up previous designs the 2000 away popped up, and well, that is the way I went.

The next design will be up tomorrow, hopefully I won't **** it up.
