FFS I thought I was watching S4 of House of Cards and I just found out today I'd started from S1. FFS.

Hahahaha how did you not notice?

Don't think Oliver does it anywhere near as much as Noah. Noah does it consistently every episode, and sometimes multiple in the same episode. Oliver does it to emphasise his jokes, Noah does it to excuse making jokes about how black people are marginalised.

Just as an aside is it just me that feels uncomfortable with some of those jokes? I mean, I get that he's black, but if a white guy said some of that stuff he would be in major shit, but it's ok because he's black to poke fun at black people? I dunno, I don't find it funny at all.
He's still finding his feet though. It took Stewart quite a few years to find his voice from what I read so it's a bit harsh to be so critical of him just yet. I think he's got a great energy, something Letterman and Stewart both kind of lost near the end of their tenures. I still watch it to keep up with the news regardless and I laugh quite often.

I don't feel uncomfortable with that stuff. He's a comedian and so they can get away with it. We had an instance at soccer yesterday where the opposition were absolutely belting a teammate with the ball and one of the guys called them an animal for making a dirty challenge. They immediately took it as being racist because they were black. That's when I get mad. Had nothing to do with race.

How many episodes in did you get?
Only 2, but still lol :$

Hahahaha how did you not notice?
Cos I am a ****ing peanut lol. Was talking to a guy at work about it what I had seen, and he was like are you sure you're watching S4? I'm like yeah man, it's on Netflix.

Thought for some reason they were going back in time for some reason lol :drunk:

Lol wow that is incredible.

I prefer winter for fashion reasons. In summer it's too hot to wear anything. It's like shorts and a t-shirt or singlet. That's it.

Hell yeah, give me a look at some fine female fashion. Wait, we're talking about you? Boo!

Out of curiosity, has anyone just gone past a foreign culture restaurant or cafe just doing your own little (errand or other thing in the middle of the day) and just felt like; 'Yeah, that looks very nice, maybe I should check it out?' I'm talking about your less typical cultures when it comes to cuisine here.

Just saw a Polish restaurant, and suddenly I feel like popping on down.

Always felt like I should try out the Belgan Beer Cafe, and well, that went down very well, especially once we got to the best bit, the desserts!

Had the same thing today with Hungarian joint. Did you end up going in?

Some ****ing campaigner nearly got my mum with the ATO Scam. Some ****ing scumbag called her and threatened her saying she owed the ATO $120k, bailiffs were coming in 45 mins and were going to arrest them and all of their assets were going to be seized. The campaigner kept her on the phone for 3 hours saying the police were watching, saying she couldn't tell anyone who was on the phone etc etc. Wouldn't be able to work again etc.

Mum and dad went to the bank and withdrew all their money (which isn't much - dad hasn't worked since 2009 and mum lost her job last year), and then and to go to Bank Of Queensland branch which is about 20 mins away from my place. They were ready to transfer it to the account but the bank manager said the account was flagged and alerted her it was a scam.

Dad nearly had a heart attack and couldn't breathe properly cos he was having a panic attack.

People are ****ing scum. If I ever saw the campaigner I'd beat him to within an inch of his life, then wait till he recovered and do it again. Maybe not. But he is a ****ing campaigner.

I've just started watching the final season of Breaking Bad.

Walt has just started cooking meth. The whole episode felt like a flashback to the pilot.
Absolutely hilarious, actually laughed out loud.

Funniest poster on the board.

Good that the bank had it flagged. They piss me off at times with their security (I still can't access money in my Australian account after 2 years of trying) but there are some good things about it.

Lucky they did, if mum transferred the money they literally would have had nothing left. My gf and I would have had to give them money, which we obviously would have done, but with an incoming mortgage, not something we could have afforded to.

I can't express my anger enough at how I feel about this individual.

There are so many things in this story that flag as blatant fraud, but it's easy to say that from a distance. Can imagine the panic they caused in your parents, which is probably exactly what they wanted to get them to oblige.

Yeah, easy to look at in hindsight.

But mum was so panicked she couldn't think straight and he was so intimidating (from what I understand) with his threats, she was petrified and too scared to hang up.

Poor dad too, had a panic attack.

Yep. My parents are too clued in for that shit. They would all be like, yeah sure bro and hang up on them haha.

But that sucks Cruyff14 I hope your parents are alright!

My dad had an idea it was a scam, but mum was too scared/worried/panicked to think straight with this asswipe barking stuff to her on the other end of the phone. They thought they were going to lose everything.

Yeah they're alright, mum was still a bit shaken up when the gf and I got back from work, think she is OK now.
