I am up to episode 7. Wont watch it for a week or so though. I dont like binge watching shows.

Yeah we watched in 2-3 episode spurts over about 5 months.

Nah, I think The West Wing and The Sopranos have more to do with that. Both came out three years before The Wire.

Whacked on Magnolia. Different, but I like it. Interesting beat, it's catchy. I like the way the vocal has been recorded, too.

I doubt it will be better than The Soprano's or The West Wing though which IMO are the GOATS of TV shows.

You always say this, hurry up and watch it so you can realize how wrong you are!

I saw The Soprano's first and also thought nothing would ever top that but The Wire is just phenomenal stuff that is so much more realistic to real life than anything else I've ever seen.

Dunno why there has to be a "best".

The last two decades have been amazing for TV dramas/series - Sopranos, West Wing, The Wire, Breaking Bad, The Shield, Game of Thrones, Empire, Board walk Empire, Mad Men, DeadWood (vastly underrated), Dexter, 30 Rock, The Office, Curb you Enthusiasm etc etc

Speaking of Mad Men, I'm just finishing the 6th season now.

That show would have been a million times better if they just focused on the advertising/business part. I'm so ****ing sick of watching Don have yet another affair. I get it, he's a man whore. Just pisses me off it continues to be the main story line most of the time.

Hard to comment on if you haven't seen it though. I've seen all three and it easily trumps them all.

Hell yeah. Watched it religiously when it was showing on SBS many many years ago.

One of the first really "in your face" shows with violence, rape, language, political views etc that i can remember watching.

Oz was the show that made The Sopranos and The Wire possible. Also has so many Law and Order actors in it.

Anyone here watching Survivor? Its my first season in about five years, and another five before that (used to love it as a kid) - and its ******* awesome.

I love the shit out of Survivor. Been watching since Season 18, easily my favourite show.

Last season was one of the best ever I think. They had fans vote in 20 past players for a "Second Chance" season. And it was absolutely amazing.

Yeah, Oz was the first HBO one hour drama and definitely played a huge part in paving the way for the likes of The Soprano's, The Wire etc, jeez it was brutal.

I went back through Oz recently and it's easy to forget just how many good characters this show had but there were so, so many memorable characters in this.

Such a full on show. I remember seeing it as a teenager and was blown away.
