Surely Bogut alone would get that trade done without throwing in the #10 pick as well? I do that trade in a second if I'm Minny.
Well no, I don't think Bogut gets it done at all. I wouldn't want this deal done without pick 10.
For salary matching, Minnesota need to send at least three guys back given the type of contracts we have.
So for the sake of the argument the three are Beasley, Flynn and Pekovic. You could substitute either one of Webster or Darko.
On the eve of a new CBA, likely with a hard cap, the Wolves are going to take on a contract worth 39m over the next three seasons. The Bucks are getting the poorer talent back, but they have a grab at Derrick Williams. Pekovic is the only player with guaranteed money on the books beyond 2011-12. Flynn can have his 4th year option declined and Beasley is a free agent.
If Bogut gets badly injured again, his contract is a massive albatross around the neck of whomever has him.
I don't think it is up to them though. Didn't Sota put the trade on the table and it is now in Bucks court?
I hear from MN that the Bucks put it forward. Who knows.
