please refer at the largest environmental damage in the history of man being the rare earth mining in China making solar panels and the magnets for wind turbines.

Further, when would this water be used? between 10am and 4pm? I would suggest not, thus solar isn't relevant.
I knew you'd say something like that.

Being from SA, I have seen the water tank policy tried and failed.

Being in mining, I have witnessed the horrors of rare earths and the Chinese federal government's efforts to stop the disaster.

Are people who excessively blast aircon all summer the same people who excessively blast heating all winter, or are they separate subsets of the same species?
Sums up my younger brother.

The toxic hell that is Baotou. It could be done with much less impact of course, but its China so they don't give a rats arse.

Very tragic that the Salvos guy beaten up in Africa has passed away.

If anyone has been to the bars along Beaufort Street from Inglewood to Mt Lawley you would have known him coming around getting change for years. I definitely remember him from the Inglewood when watching the footy over the years. Always a decent human being and never rose to a bait from ****wits. RIP.

Baotou is actually pretty good (still a absolute f up) compared to the illegal mining in the south.

China wants it stopped but the are powerless to reign in the regional mafia, military and local Govt who run these mines.

The tails and waste are going straight into waterways, farm land and into the sea around HK.

They sell their illegal product to legal mines. These legal mines don't operate and thus environmental sign off is easy.

It's a fn disgrace that companies like Apple, Samsung, etc buy the product despite knowing of the issue.

I'd like to see a see-through cost where apple and even the consumers who buy the product are liable for the clean up. That will get consumers thinking about the goods they purchase.

Ah worse then that? Geez that must be an utterly toxic place then.

Reading this thread reminded me of the old "roster system" for petrol on Sunday's.

Thank god perth has changed
Some things for the worse but. Vale my walking distance Chicken Treat store :'(

Pretty much October and not hitting mid 20's consistently. This is not Perth. Thank God I get some respite in Bali in just over a week.

Just got back to perth after being away for 5 weeks. How good is this weather?! :):thumbsu::p

It's a bit chilly today, according to weatherzone it is just 14.5C at the moment which is unthinkable for the end of September.

Mrs Bojangles is doing a camping thing with her friends this weekend. I hope it doesn't hose enough for her to comeback early and ruin my weekend of drinking, footy and xbox.
