What's wrong with Single Fin?

It's just one of those shitty beers that's half way between a pale ale and a lager but it does neither. It doesn't have any bitterness or much of a beery taste, but then it has the dishwasher taste of a $15 six pack. It doesn't really even have an overt fruitiness. It's just a nothing beer. It's another go to entry level craft beer for baby boomers with too much money, aka another James Boags.

Add to that it's got a pissy amount of alcohol for a beer that's usually closer to $60 than 50 bucks and what's the point? Getting 1.2 standards in a stubbie always feels like a rip off when you get home.

They used to sell the green pale ale a bit and where I worked it was usually cheaper than Coopers. It basically tasted the same so I'd get it a bit and I'd recommend it on that basis and it did well. Every three months it would go up a dollar, 50 cents, and now it's $20 whereas most half decent bottle shops don't charge more than 16.50 for pally allies.
