Sounds like I offended you, Kane.I'll just leave this analysis from Keys here and be on my way![]()
My apologies. I think you know what I mean, though, by my comment about an easy fixture. Keyser Soze has given the games vs this year's current ladder positions but in terms of opponents' 2014 ladder position (which the fixture was based on), West Coast doubled up against teams which came 4th, 10th, 12th, 14th and 18th. In comparison Freo play twice against teams which were 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 17th in 2014, Geelong played twice against teams that were 1st, 2nd, 6th, 10th and 11th- despite being knocked out early in the finals. It only takes a win against a 17th or 18th placed team to be the difference between 4th and 5th. Currently the Eagles are 2nd, 1 win away from being in 5th. 2 wins from being 7th. How the hell did Freo manage to score 2 games against Melbourne?? wtf?Don't get me wrong- I think the fixture stinks. I hate the inequality of the derbies- none more so than when the Swans played GWS for several years running when they were just kids.
I don't have any answer- just like having a whinge about what might have been if we each played every other opponent once- in random order, with no teams having any more 6 day breaks than any other, just to suit the AFL's agenda and TV schedules. And randomly drawn fixture, not cunningly FIXtured games.. so if you cop 3 6-day breaks against top 4 teams in a row when they've all had 7 or 8 day breaks, we all know it's because of the randomness of the draw, not because the AFL decided that they wanted to make things difficult.

I'm so happy!!! I might even be able to go back to going home via Karel and Berrigan every night like I used to, now that Karel won't be used as a rat-run so often anymore.
