Am I the only person that finds fireworks uninteresting? Seen them once, seen them all. Having them for every event nowadays doesnt help with the novelty .Even the Dockers have their pissy post game pyrotechnics now .

The only one I like is the big one at the end. Just cut the show by half and only have those big bastards I reckon.

Agree stop the repetition of 6 colour fireworks going up for 20 minutes. Just have a 10 minute mega boom extravaganza.

Don't mind fireworks but absolutely hate massive crowds, been a few times years ago but doubt I'll ever go again.

We used to go to a park around the Tuart Hill area, we'd have all to ourselves for a day of cricket, and was a great spot to see the fireworks from

We were driving home on the freeway while the fireworks were on after a fringe comedy show (that was terrible, but it was free so whatever).

I kid you not, around Vincent Street there was literally a line of cars all pulled over to the side of the road with people out sitting on their bonnets. Kids and all. Seemed like a stupidly dangerous way to get a glimpse of the fireworks.

After working there Tues man was it warm, will be back for round 2 Sunday.

Just saw a channel 7 grab and for the most part was extremely positive - the one negative was the lack of shade on a 37 deg day until the trees grow

Will wait a couple of months and then wander down - not a fan of big crowds

Seriously for the new stadium they will probably have statues of WA sporting greats outside like the MCG.

There would be the old timers like Polly Farmer, Barry Cable and John Todd etc.

For West Coast you would have Worsfold, Matera, Jakovich and Cousins (controversial selection).

For Freo you would have Pavlich.

St Kilda you would have Winmar.

For cricket you would have McKenzie, Lillee, Marsh and Hughes.

For soccer Despotovski.

I went to Bets Jet tonight. Took the old girl.

Positives . The water fountain thingy for kids. Looks awesome, it lights up at night.
Grassed areas to sit down on.
Close proximity to restaurants already existing ie Analashamer ( spelling ? and another one whose name escapes me.

Negatives . Was soooo humid tonight

Crowds were pretty bad
I couldn't find any toilets
Didn't appear to be much in the way of food or drink outlets .

Be in mind that it was dark though and we only really explored one side. It was just too crowded . We will go back when it's less busy and cooler.

So undecided really.

Yeah well Despotovski was a bit of a joke but who would you have ahead of him as WA soccer legends, Stan Lazaridis? Bernd Stange?

When I think of Perth Glory legends Despotovski is the first name that comes to mind, he was a legend in the old 90s Glory Shed days.

Not really worthy of a statue though tbh.

Would Danny Green be worthy of a statue? Ric Charlesworth?
