Be nice when we can add it to phone's wallet. I think NSW you can do that but not VIC and I assume other states

Have never owned any power tools.

Looking at getting a drill and a circular saw.

How much should I be paying, what’s a good brand, and is there anywhere better/cheaper than Bunnings to get them?
My power tool is a drill and I got it off a tradie so it must be good.

A drill I understand but how often do you need a circular saw?

Don't go too cheap on power tools.

If you are going cordless Milwaukee is what most tradies use. But if you're only using for occasional home use go something like Ryobi. Don't go the really cheap like Ozzito or similar.

Corded? facebook marketplace
Cordless? any name brand, they are all pretty much equivalent and all have their fanbois

Just be aware that if you buy a cordless kit (drill/impact/saw) then you are pretty much locked into that ecosystem because it is far easier to buy a new skin to suit the same batteries that you already have. And the manufacturers know it. Changing brands is usually done to buy a better quality tradesman combo, than to just move sideways to the same handyman range.

Anywhere other than Bunnings will be better, but not necessarily cheaper. Having said that, I have a collection of corded tools which work fine and a couple of Ozito cheaparse cordless drills from Bunnings.

This is a great video if you're just getting into which power tools to get. Biggest takeaway: cheaparse Ozito can be flogged until they wear out and then exchanged for new ones at Bunnings. Until you're in a position to buy better.

Ryobi from bunnings work well for me, no issues.

Milwaukee as someone else said is a decent brand a lot of trades seem to use

For just around the house, the odd job on the weekend, no point paying too much, that's why I go Ryobi.

They go on special often enough at different times of the year at bunnings.

these days all the cordless ones are definitely good enough for home use

just see whats on special
Pretty much. For torque on things like impact drivers and hammer drills you can’t beat Milwaukee or even DeWalt but for around the house I’ve got a Ryobi cordless I got for nothing and it’s fine

If the work requires more than a hammer drill and a set of screw drivers I generally outsource.

Peter Pan has been remade, and characters have changed in skin colour. A few comments online citing their discontent with the decision to tinker with tinkerbell so to speak because it is lazy writing. what does that mean?

If it's about rehashing or remakes, haven't remakes been done for eons?

Queue outrage, people talk about it, free advertising.

Toulouse-Lautrec is played by an indigenous Australian in the stage version of Moulon Rouge which as as a French Canadian Australian I'm appalled by.
