just getting back to contents insurance, with YOUI I have cover of 100k, and annual premium is $1,226.
I am going to see what it drops to if I change cover to $75k (and if proportional 25% drop, i'll do it).

For building insurance, again with YOUI, I have cover of $700k, and an annual premium of $4095!! However, big one-off extra cost atm because it is vacant . As soon as I get a tenant I will be dropping this YOUI policy completely and doing a Terri Scheer building and landlord combined insurance - i can get 750k for $2758 annual premium, and landlord insurance for $600 (which covers some contents, loss of rent etc). This $3,358 will be tax deductible.

For my car, with YOUI I have an annual premium of $1243 for my 2017 model.

I'll do some shopping around for contents and car

Im a "shit replier"...I'll reply when I am ready, not when you want. Then I hear my sister getting angry about her boyfriends or whatever not replying with in 5 minutes. Get farked. My phone is for my convenience, not yours.

At YOUI, we listen

37. He works and buys his own food. He cooks then expects me to clean up the kitchen after him.
WTF?

Tell him it's 200 and he has to clean up after himself daily
If he doesn't like it move out and pay in excess of 500 a week rent plus electricity etc etc

37 years old ffs

I don't live by my phone- am even getting into the habit of leaving it at home on workdays. (90% of the the time im in class anyway)- but 48 hours to reply is ridiculous. I'll always check my phone as soon as I get home.
in todays climate, that is next level! do you feel naked without it driving to work?

Absolutely not. My work is 15 minutes from my home (and my parents place is half way between the two), if something happened it wouldnt be the end of the world not to have a phone.

I like to gather a few data points before judging people on the tardiness of their text messaging

But then I am old fashioned and tend to assume people will pick up the phone for anything time-sensitive
Sorry, to clarify, started messaging this girl at I got set up with (asian arranged/introduction).
It does not look like that there is effort being put in from the other end.
I don't think anything justifies 48 hours from anyone.
My personal response time is either immediate or by the end of the day/in bed.

This is similar to my expectation. I don't expect someone to message during the day due to work. However, when you relaxing for the night, or sometime during the evening.

May also need to mention, no chat from Thursday night to Saturday night. Where there was about 30mins of chat, before being left on read until Monday nights next response. No clarification was given for leaving me on read on Saturday night

My cousin is the worst- he will just completely ignore texts, even questions. When trying to organise something with him, would have to go thru his wife (who would always reply)- he just says he "forgets". Yeah well I now forget to make time for them anymore, havent seen them in about 2 years now.

I know someone that will only reply Monday mornings. Or unless she needs something from me.

Admittedly I often look at a message when I don’t have the time/information to respond, mean to come back to it later, but because it’s marked read I completely forget about it

I’d hope most people give me a pass for the occasional oversight

Have to admit that I’m bad at remembering to respond if I don’t do it straight away

But…

If it was a bloke I was interested in I wouldn’t be waiting 48hrs, so my advice to you is not bother contacting again

I cannot just ghost in this situation, unlike what I would do on dating apps

I wasn’t suggesting ghosting - terrible thing to do with anyone

I think she sent a loud and clear message

What are the protocols
