I'm getting a lot of exposure from it, so I kind of don't want them to take it down

I feel like if I ask for payment then they'd just delete the vid lol
So... what was the question in the end?

Just wanted to know what my options would be. I would like to be paid for it, I might send them a DM

How do you go getting an NBN connection checked. I have FTP and I've bought 3 routers and each one is dishing out s**t internet so I'm guessing it's the actual network to the house. I run speed tests and they show no speed issues but I can barely load pages on an ethernet connection and wifi doesn't work at all.

Have you tried plugging a device into the wall via Ethernet and speed testing that way? If you're still getting a distrusted service, lodge a fault with your ISP.

A big content page took my video and reposted it on Instagram without permission, but did tag me. Are they allowed to do that?

I guess they can without asking, Most apps give you the option to let others repost your videos or not.

If it's giving you good exposure and your only concern is getting money for it then I'd just let it slide and try to capitalise on the exposure another way if you can.

I run my PC through it, its saying 53mgbs at the moment. But struggling to load pages. TV runs HD netflix off wifi with zero problems. Phones and Ipad don't work with WIFI.

Hmm, very unusual to be able to stream HD video over WIFI but not load web pages via Ethernet.

Used to have a 14" portable back in the day, for watching Star Trek on a Friday night and East Enders on Sunday morning. Haven't had one for donkeys years now.

Power in Victoria:
I am about to give Lumo the arse, the solar went live at the beginning of December and they have just now sent a letter saying we are on "their best rate" of $1.60 a day supply plus 51c kWh peak, less 6.2c feed in tariff. Went to the govt energy compare site and Lumo, would you believe, have the cheek to offer $1.21 a day + 21c kWh less 5.2c. I did a spreadsheet with actual usage figures and the "offer" rate is 58% less than we currently pay on their "best rate." Arsebastards.

Tango with $1.04 plus 23c less 6.7c would actually see us in credit every month, but its a) Chinese govt owned and b) reviews are evenly split between five and one star. You're either ecstatic with them or in a nightmare of billing shenanigans, offshore call centres and being charged higher rates than you sign up for.

1st Energy dipped out due to a high daily charge, and Ovo seems to be another billing nightmare with estimated usage, paying in advance and direct debits going out even when the account is in credit. I don't need that, which is a pain as they were my second choice after Tango.

Anyone have any advice? You have to laugh at the "deregulated" "market", there are no more retailers as such, just middlemen providing no actual value add and just seeing how much cash can stick to their paws on the way through.

How many people have TV's in their bedroom?
I was about to say nah, not since I was a young bloke living in shared accommodation.

But then I was "what exactly is a TV these days anyway?" I do, for example, have a tablet currently in a bedside drawer. A tablet that is able to access the streaming service of choice plus my media server. I haven't laid in bed and used it for that purpose in a good while. Hardly use it at all TBH. But I think, technically, my answer must be "yes".

Yep.

Might end up watching an episode late around 10pm bedtime.

One of us, usually the wife, might watch tv in there if the other is watching something (footy) else on the other tv (and not use the front room tv, rather be lying in bed)
