Anyone have a recommendation for a pressure testing set for a coolant system? I'm looking at a few on Amazon, but the reviews range from great to ****in shit

Regifting a present. Yay or nay? One of my students gave me a pack of 5 different body sprays for an end of the year gift. However I find most of these body sprays irritate my skin. Is it tacky to regift this at Christmas?

my dad and stepmother regifted something they got - they realised they were stuck short of a present, so wrapped up something they'd been given already.
guy opens the present, inside was a note to my dad.

Cooking shows, and its judges. Its one competition where person bias and circumstances cloud their opinion. When the camera zooms into a utensil slicing through a piece of food on a dish, then follows the utensil all the way into the judges mouth, followed by an OTT judges focussed look, then the score.....

how is food be assessed when judge A has a different palate to B. And C is allergic to ingredient in the dish, what about C??

iron chef japan the contestants often tried to make food that they were aware the judges liked, so appealing to the judges tastes was encouraged. if you can do that and still appeal to all judges, you must be doing ok.

I like the Cook Up with Adam Liaw
Was these 2 there ?

Anyone got any grand plans for retirement? I plan on 4 more years in the workforce. Full-time teaching anyway. I may do some casual work or once I finish my PhD get some sessional teaching work. However I'm not sure where. I don't want to stay where I am. I'm thinking of possibly overseas somewhere. Buying an apartment in inner Melbourne also kind of appeals to me.

I plan not to work full-time ever again.

I'll look for another job in Feb .
Or start my own business.

I'm in no rush ATM.

I plan on going to the shops at peak time and drive in peak hour when I retire.
And stay home during the day

Drive slow in the fast lane .
Go around in the summer time and complain about the heat .

My wife and I are thinking of getting a small coffee machine trailer and towing it behind our motorhome and travelling. We can make a bit of cash from selling coffees and self fund our trip.

Where I live a bloke started one of those up a couple of months before covid turned up, talk about perfect timing.

Nice idea but that sounds like you'd need to sell a shitload of coffee to fund the trip. You'd be doing more selling coffee than you would tripping.
Yeah I probably wouldn’t need the coffee to self fund us but more as a means of reducing costs. Probably 5 years away from having a serious think about it. I really just want a decent coffee machine in the motorhome 😂

I don't do plain thin beef any more. I've found one butcher (the Vietnamese one next to Aldi in Sanctuary Lakes) that does awesome thick continental and speciality sausages for $18-$20/kg. Three sausages between the two of us is plenty.

Tried all the other "gourmet" sausages from supermarkets and other local butchers but nothing comes close. Maybe Andrews in Yarraville but he went all upmarket and doubled his prices around 2006 and I haven't been there in years (just looked - $21/kg thin beef, $25-$32/kg for others). Peter Bouchier perhaps, though you're also looking at $20/kg for thin beef and $25+/kg for decent ones.
