What do y'all do when you're feeling :sparkles:overwhelmed:sparkles: ?

I never get this way but this week has got me banging my head against a brick wall. My mum's in hospital, my kids have sport commitments all weekend, I had an issue with a health practitioner yesterday that is unresolved, I've uncovered a giant **** up at work I need to fix asap, the list goes on. Sis is in panic mode.

Deep breath. Make cuppa. Make a list to break it all down and the order to tackle it all in smaller pieces.

In all honesty I light a joint, grab a beer and play guitar for an hour, exercise is also a good outlet.

After my melt, I focus on what I can control, delegate where I can and remember to breathe

I remind myself that I come first. Everything else is irrelevant if I’m not well myself and that if I wasn’t there, someone else would need to fix that work **** up

I’ve had anxiety more than I’ve ever had over past couple of years. Got to find what works for you. From me it’s been anything from a beer and vent to mates, a big dog walk or focusing on something I can control like cleaning house and taking care of chores.

Prioritize things. If something isn’t a necessity and causing you stress don’t feel bad about giving yourself a break. For example, kids missing one sports class isn’t going to have a big impact.

And ask for help. Whether partner, friends, family or colleagues. It’s ok to say you’re under pressure.
 
Is it bad form to leave a stubby holder in my son's hockey bag so I can have a beer while he's training?
Why not rock up with one of those hats that holds two cans and a drinking tube
 
Thanks for the advice everyone.

I had a panic attack for the first time in about 15 years yesterday. It's not as simple as dropping anything because it's a big sports competition this weekend that the kids have spent six months training for. And the work **** up is in my own department - if I don't fix it personally then it's on the CEO.

Would love to partake in the_interloper's style of relaxation but it'll end up with me down a rabbit hole.

Gonna try and tick one thing off at a time and I hope I don't have a menty b hehe.
 
I have a playlist on Spotify and leave it on Shuffle - it's approximately 40 hours.

When I put it on shuffle, it does not play all songs. Does anyone know why?
Its not a real shuffle. There is a setting on by default that tries to play songs with the same vibe in a row. So if you start of with a country song for example, expect a lot more country from your playlist. You can turn the setting off and it becomes a bit more of a shuffle but still not true. It will almost play the same songs in the exact same order every time. One way to change the order is to add a new song to the playlist.

Why they refuse to add a proper shuffle nobody knows.

This is really frustrating and disappointing.

What's the point of having a shuffle if it doesn't play the whole lot?

I've found going outside and star gazing for 5-10 minutes puts life in perspective.

Anybody here got a Firestick? How much? How's the content?

Any regrets?
yes. works fine for me. I do use apple tv for all the apps i must confess, but firestick for another kind of app which allows for international tv channel watching

Not all play strategic though and many take the risk when they shouldn’t because they focus on the bottom shelf rather than the top
