our kid walked home once a week with one of their friends in grade 6 to help them both get ready for high school commutes

about 1.5kms including crossing a couple of roads, there were crossing guards on the two busy ones

had to go get them a couple of times when the main road crossing guards didn't show up and they didnt want to try and cross at the lights without a guard

just depends on your kids and what kind of path they have to take as to whether you think they're ready

our kid had a phone so they could call us if they got stuck anywhere

they probably could have done that in grade 5 as well if they had wanted to but there is no way they would have wanted to in grade 4

of course having a big brother or sister to do it with helps as well

Spot on.

How old is your youngest? I told my eldest he could have a phone when he starts high school but it’ll be an old school dumb phone (I say this now 😅)
He’s 10. Yeah, old school phones are the way to go. His brother has had one for over a year. Hasn’t been an issue at all. He forgets he has it and never charges it.

Has anyone used a ready meal delivery service? Not one like hello fresh where you still have to cook, one where you just have to heat it up.

My hours are about to skyrocket at work and I don't want to have to ask husband to cook since he'll also be responsible for wrangling the kids and cleaning up. Even if I just got something organised for 3 nights a week so I can still exercise after work I'll be laughin'.

Recommend me plssss

i personally dont use them but ive heard two people say My Muscle Chef arent bad
i looked a the site a few times and they do actually have good variety and you can get plus sized meals and diff types for calories protein low fat etc
i have the time to cook and meal prep on a sunday so its cheaper in the long run for me to do that, but thats as far as i went with searching
if i had a busier job and no time due to kids, id give them a go personally as they seem to be able to cater to what i want

i havent looked deeply into other companies

they also are avl at a lot of places around the country and you can search retailers on their site
ive been meaning to check my local as they sell them there but forget each time im in there

The Coles Perform meals are the pick of the pre packaged meals for me. Significantly better than youfoodz imo.

Without wanting to make too much light of a tragic situation...

If anyone hears who was performing when a sad situation unfolded at the Palais Theatre, please let me know.

Someone literally dying laughing is the greatest advertisement anyone will ever get... that they can't take advantage of :(

On the news just now they said it was a Conedy AllStars gig but didn’t say which comedian was in on stage at the crucial moment
