Yep. I have no letter either so can't call them to get the paper one. Then I'll get fined for not doing it.

Probably blame Aus Post not them. Letters take what over a week now to get anywhere?

I think I heard on the news that the fine is a last resort, they'll contact you to try to get you to complete it but if you refuse to after a few attempts they'll start to fine you.
I don't get why people get so upset about their security with the census. It's asking you for your marital status and occupation, not your 5 most commonly used passwords.

We received our paper form yesterday.

How would the government bigwigs know if you did not fill out the census? If you don't complete it online, nobody would know your personal e-mail address. Or, if you choose to leave the paper form blank and then put it in the reply paid envelope, how would they know which address it has come from?
Why would you not bother? Concerns over privacy?

Maybe my flatmate has it then.
No, nothing to do with privacy. Many thousands of Australians just aren't motivated to fill it out, either partly or at all. It is hardly an inspiring experience. For many it feels like a burden.
Well thats a crap reason then. Im not motivated to pay tax, and it feels like a burden but I still have to pay it.
Privacy reasons I can understand, but just not wanting to do it is stupid.
It's like once every 5 years isn't it?
