It took Geelong 60 years before winning their first premiership. Whats your point?
Not sure if serious or just an idioto_O

I have know idea where you got that 60 year mark from to be honest not one clue at all, I think you just made it up.

From foundation until we first lifted silverware was only 19 years 1859 to 1878 and seeing as the VFA (which was the first competition we could win) was formed in 1877 it only took us 2 years to win out first flag, but if your not counting VFA then when the VFL was formed in 1897 we won our first flag in 1925 a gap of 28 years and if your not counting VFL we won our first flag in 2007 from 1990 so a gap of 17 years.

So just to reiterate where the hell did you get 60 years :)

Congrats on Winning a Fla.......... oh just wait, you haven't.

See other people can do it as well and as Freo have no silverware and very little past success to speak of i wouldn't be bring up past results, but that's just me:cool:
A cat fan not wanting to talk about past results with a Freo fan. Sounds about right since you're our bunnies.

If you'd taken some time to read the thread, you'd see quite clearly my post was a direct reply to catscampaignerinamerica who posted similar.

And come the end of september, history WILL vindicate me again, just as it did last year.
LOL

Like these vindicated posts from last year?
Its highly unlikely you'll finish 1 or 2. So that means you finish 4 at best, most probably 5th. Essendon have a super run home draw wise. Freo have to travel every second week. The odds of them dropping a game they should win on the road are much higher than the Bombers dropping one unexpectedly. So my guess is you finish 5th. And i truly believe the Eagles will start stringing some form together and finish 8th. What that means is that even if you roll them in the Elim, it'll be a much more bruising tough encounter, against a WA side that also dont have to travel. Could easily get rolled and if you dont, you travel to Melbourne the week after, beaten up. You wont beat the loser of Geel, Ess, Hawth or Syd (my top 4 pick) on the road, a week after getting beaten up physically by the Eagles. SO for all the "WHy Freo can win the Flag" style threads, a bit of footy smarts and knowledge tells me that if they make week 2 of the finals, they'll be doing well, certainly wont make a prelim.
They dont come out attacking and blow sides away. so a side like geelong that run games out, will eventually break them in a finals pressure cooker, and put them away.
its all a laugh really. Freo wont finish top 4. Look at Essendon's draw. They will finish 4th. Hawks will not lose another game for the h&a season, and will finish 1. Cats 2. Swans will finish 3. Freo then finish 5th and will get bundled out by the Eagles in the first final at Subi. At that point i wil piss myself laughing at the arrogance of posts like the one above.....
But, we are simply an unbelievably amazing side, and will beat them.

Wouldn't show up though if he had him on his ignore list which is the best course of action ;)

Not sure if serious. GWS have copped some mighty thrashing this year, unlike West Coast.
Indeed, BUT the local derbies are becoming their Grand Finals if you will.
They set themselves more for games against us than any other.
Their midfield is very strong when Mumford rucks, but you seem to have forgotten when you were little brother in the west how much harder your young-uns weighted in against West Coast compared to the rest of the league.
Or are you soft selling the derbies now?

Port wont make top 4

Been saying for a while now they'll drop off, but just looking at the fixturing and seeing that theyre only in there on % I think theyre an underdog to make it

They have games against the Cats and Freo, 8 points games if there ever were ones. Those are effectively top 4 finals, with Freo and Cats set to play off as well in a bit of an old Tri Series

They've also got the Pies here in Melbourne which is a 50/50 game imo, and I'd be interested to see how they go against the Tiges here in Melbourne next week to be honest because I think theyre starting to fall away

Slightly unrelated, and just a harmless observation, but interesting to see that GWS have scored more points than Essendon so far in 2014.

16-6 and a percentage in the mid 130's should get the job done to finish in the top 2.

15-7 and a percentage in the high 120's should get you into the top 4.

There is not much wiggle room if you're currently 6th or below.

Yeah, teams below can barely afford to lose a game from here you would think. Incredible that 4 teams currently have a percentage around the 140 mark, you wouldn't see that a decade ago.
