I disagree that pirates aren't a big deal nowadays, but I digress...So given pirates aren't really that big a deal these days, Genghis Khan attitudes have diminished, would it be a really radical step if the Kiwis chose a black flag with a silver/white fern on it??
There certainly is no need for us to have the British Union Jack on our flag any longer. We are no longer part of Britain so it should go one day.Just get rid of the Union Jack and we're done.

Farewell Manuel.
We were discussing that on the bus trip to BowralFlag?
A bum with a fist coming out of it.
For real or just internet kiddies again?
I'm just reading It again.
Just get rid of the Union Jack and we're done.
Think I have a copy of a Sunday Mail from some years ago taken at an Ashes Test. Someone displayed a flag and replacing the Union Jack were the words "Jack Off". If I can find it tonight I will scan and post it.
Unfortunately not. It was out of my budget range.
He did a lot of manual labouring jobs and is looking rather frail. He had to be assisted on and off stage by a women (could be one of his daughters). At one point he said to the audience "go easy on me, I'm 72 years old". His voice is still strong though.what a great story/ film. but incredibly sad at the same time, listening to his daughter explain how tough life was for him.
I saw two albino's at Angkor Wat yesterday.
My thoughts exactly
I feel like having a nice cup of tea and a toast. We were discussing that on the bus trip to Bowral
Incredible for a 72 y.o., voice not perfect but has lasted better than mine and I am younger and not a singer. I liked the very slight reinterpretation of the backing guitar.
Archie Roach is supporting in Sydney... Dunno who supported your show.Incredible for a 72 y.o., voice not perfect but has lasted better than mine and I am younger and not a singer. I liked the very slight reinterpretation of the backing guitar.
It was like a time-machine back to the 70s ( I get that feeling with Neil Young too). The goobers in the audience calling out weird stuff between songs was a bit lame. I thought it might be just me being quite tired after a long, busy day at work but Sugar Man Sixto Rodriguez rocks Adelaide, brings his tunes to town said "...“We love ya Rod,” one bloke called out about, oh, 97 times ..."
The audience intrigued me, quite a few my age but wearing bits and bobs from the 70s. Many younger people there too, more IMO than a few of the other nostalgia acts I've seen in recent years.
The lass who opened for him was very good, do you remember her name? She only said it once.
