I grew up in Glenelg's zone too and much of the family barracked for them, but an enlightened older brother bribed me with a trinket to follow Port when I was 8.

I'm surprised at the number of Port supporters with a Glenelg area connection.

I moved to Brighton from the bush a few month before my 11th birthday, lived there until I was 17, came back for a couple of years in my mid 20's, again in 1995, and I'm still here.

Port supporting had been in the family DNA for years though, my maternal grandma, who was an absolute Maggie fanatic, wasn't over keen on me wearing the black and yellow, even for the Brighton primary school team.

Watched that film last night about the guy that franchised McDonald's to the world, pretty interesting but showed the little guy not dreaming big and getting screwed.
The McDonald bothers were bought out for 2.7 million in 1961 & made a handshake deal (lol) for 1% of all future earnings which was never honored (that's 100 plus mill the McDonald family continue to miss out on yearly) feckin' hell!

1% per brother, for some reason they agreed on 1.9%. Based on the latest figures it looks like it's well over $200 mill now. Although from what I read it seems that as much as Ray Kroc was a bastard the McDonalds brothers were idiots with no business acumen.

Take a picture of him when he is doing his job in the public eye and no dramas - heck even ask him in this moment for a pic and its no dramas.

Taking a creepshot of a bloke and then mocking his appearance on a public forum is pretty distasteful.

They would've been happy with a handful of successful outlets & major control, nothing wrong with that on the surface they were still very successful just not grand dreamers on Kroc's level.. a decent lawyer might've helped though yea.
