Your spot on IDDY, its quite funny to watch actually, all 3 clubs we hate the most have just crash landed this season and its like no one can be bothered to check for survivors we are too busy watching the flames from the wreckage.

Anyone finding the last few weeks for all these clubs , our tribal nemesis' if you will , as amusing as i have ???

Carlton ... Still think they can buy premierships , no real soul to speak of other than an inherent arrogance . Got a problem ? throw money at it :thumbsu: Sacking Ratten and Getting Malthouse lacks soooo little in thought and due process and vision i can hardly pick myself up off the ground i am laughing so much . the game plan MM will bring to that club will be so lost on half its split pea heart/ pint sized list it aint funny . Massive road to rack and ruin if you ask me i cant wait to watch the train wreck

Collingwood - LMAO - Eddies arrogant , pig headed , stubborn refusal to go back 14-16 months ago and have a re-think about the whole Buckley/Malthouse saga .. i mean seriously ... who f..ks with the game plane when you are winning flags and on the way to winning more ? its almost like Malthouse winning a premiership spoilt Eddies plan to have Nafan win one ... to get that chemistry is so hard it aint funny , then they turf it out the window in arrogance . Now Carlton want to rub Malthouse in their face ... LMAO ... f..k i hope Cloke ends up there as well ... this whole scenario wreeks so badly of the 80's its hilarious .

Essendon - ah the bombers - in a similar vein - we'll get bomber and hirdy and it will be alright . Golf clap everyone . Situation normal ... ah ... hang on ???? Not working out quite like that is it boys .

As we sit here with our club showing clearly measurable improvement both on and off the field . Posting record profits , lurking like vultures at the free agents , lots of room in the salary cap , scouring the globe for the best available people to fill the roles at our club . Basking in the ridiculous stability that our club now resides within .... How pleasant is it to waltz past the fridge .. grab a can . pop on some microwave popcorn .. flop into the couch , sit back and watch as these train wrecks all go at it hammer and tong ....

Its like the "Bizarro world" episode on seinfeld

Am i getting carried away or is this how others are seeing it ?????

Post of the year:thumbsu::)

Great post Iddy. Keep pinching myself this week... Love the 80s comparison.

My initial thought was, gee it'd be funny if Malthouse goes to the Blooze and beats Nafan to a flag. Then I realised what the **** I was thinking, and swapped to premonitions of them beating each other up in a prelim before one of them gets smashed the week after by us in the big one.

Aaah one can dream.

Only point i would make in deference to idys theme is i reckon buckley has made a pretty decent fist of the coaching gig. With MM poking a stick at him like a bear in a cage, i gotta hand it to him he responded with aplomb. I had my doubts that perhaps buckley was too ol skool but he appears to be a quick learner. If i was a collingwood fan id be pretty happy with buckley in control..**** mm, he s a sill old codger, drunk on drinking his own bath water...

Now while I want our Tigers to be top four for ever I don't ever want to see them become so disinterested/comfortable/flat whatever you want to call it as the Hawks looked singing their song tonight. Almost totally soulless. I would be insulted if I were an opposition supporter seeing them so Hohum about having just beaten my team (mind you I never watch the opposition song when the tiges have been beaten! )

Tigers -passion

Would be bad if no club nominated because they thought all the other clubs would nominate and they get him 2nd round!! haha

Can't believe Malthouse is going to coach the old enemy and try and get them a premiership and has asked Rob Wiley to be his assistant.

$$%##### !!!!!!

Sick of old Tigers building up other clubs.

OK first up I thought I would post this in here as opposed to the main forum, I think in the main forum they just seem to turn into a big shit fight and somehow North work there way into it, so I posted this in here to have a normal discussion about other clubs. I'm not even sure if there would be that much interest but I find it interesting in similarities they had to the tigers of the later 80's and most of the 90's.

These last few months watching these two clubs conduct themselves has really reminded me of RfC of the late eighties and nineties.

Carlton I still cant believe they sacked Ratten, I would be devastated if Richmond was to sack Hardwick if we had shocking year injury wise next year. I just couldn't see it happening at Richmond now. I think the Blues have definitely got this one wrong.
Ratten is still a good coach and hopefully might go to PA. MM is going to be a huge gamble in my opinion, He has been quite contradicting of late, one minute he isn't going to look at any coaching positions until October and then he has supposedly made a deal with them and is dancing on Rattens grave. Two things he said he wasn't going to do.
It all seems messy mainly from all the blood being spilt and the lies from both parties. Who is to say that MM is even going to be up to it, All the great coaches lose there touch and did Eddie and the CFC see this first hand?

Essendon, what would happen if they had another year like 2012, injuries did have a major impact but the floggings they copped ran a little deeper then "to many injuries" to take the blame. At times the players seemed so switched off it wasn't funny. You might not have the depth to cover injuries but your less talented players should still be trying instead of taking the easy option, which seemed a little to common late in the year.

There year as a whole was one that I could associate with some of Richmonds season's, very inconsistent. At there best they were right up there and at there worst they were shocking. It doesn't make you confident going into each round not knowing which team is going to turn up. We all know how that feels....

Carlton is probably the bigger talking point here and if MM doesn't pay off will the board start to self destruct? Will they have lost an opportunity to get a generation of decent players playing to there optimal because the club couldn't provide a stable environment?

All these scenarios we have been through with our own club, I wonder being experienced supporters to a club that had unstable boards, large debt and cut throat approach for success, does that enable us to see the early signs. Is this the start of the cancer for Carlton and perhaps Essendon that Richmond has taken years to fight off?

All in all I have seen this sort of club behaviour before... most of time it never ends well.
