well if getting cloke means 5,000 or 10,000 more people buy memberships next year then he more than pays for himself and believe me we will be looking to install that kind of faith in our supporters after this season with this sort of thing. I still believe we are a shot at it with the right training and the right coaching getting us playing a better brand of football. This sort of thing, along with the coming onof guys like Buckley could get us there. Just what would Cloke cost us though? Can we get him for notting as a free agent. Also 25 years old? Gee he should be just hitting his peak now!

He does not need to get any better for me to be satisfied and I can't be bothered bringing up the 100's of players, forwards even, who were magnificent players for the second half of there 20's.

Yeah i dont mind it to be honest, definitely Warnock and McLean are being paid more than they are worth to us at the moment.
I wouldnt mind Travis in the navy blue, but with draft prospects being as good as they are this year i hope we can still pick up 3-4 future stars and slide them onto our list.

Definitely alot of changes will be happening at the end of this year.

We showed everyone that we don't need him. No doubt he has talent, but are u willing to squeeze out someone like bootsma or Watson next year to pay him. I am not. If he didn't demand so much coin, sure. But we would see the repercussions from the start. And it wouldn't just be 1 year of losing good players, it would be 5. If we don't win a premiership in the first few years, the domino effect would be catastrophic. There is a reason collingwood aren't budging. Take heed.

Cas or Mitch might be as good as Cloke in 4 yrs time! Waite - absolutely cannot depend on his body anymore

I am willing to squeeze out Warnock and another (maybe even Brock - he has not got long left). Collingwood have got more players who have earnt big coin.

This guy's body is shot, we have tried for the last 4 years to get it right and it keeps failing him. Don't see why we would get it right for next year. I am not saying get Cloke but we need to find someone else other Waite

I think McLean has done enough to show he will still be at the Blues next year. Earlier this year I didn't think he was making enough contests while in the firsts, but he seems to have picked up half a yard of pace (still slow) or is running smarter lines, but he is getting to more contests and have an impact, either getting hard ball or blocking for Judd.

He certainly has shown enough to warrant another contract, but he'll be on a heavily reduced wage.

We'll likely free up 200k, perhaps more, by getting rid of his initial contract.

i would be willing to trade both (even tho i love both) to often we assume a young player will be a superstar.
Travis Cloke is a excellent fullforward, bootsma is a promising young player who has the potential to play wing, hff, hbf or at best in the middle.
our time is in the immediate future not when bootsma is 24 at the prime of his career.
I don' t think we will get cloke but if the choice was leak a couple decent young prospects for a ready made marking machine.... well you do the maths.
