I have one for posting photos of Mary, because if I don't post enough my mother in law will message HBF and I incessantly until we do
I've never been on FB so when my niece was born my sister started a 'What's App' group just for me and others (read as old relatives) who don't have FB solely for spamming pics and vids. Works a treat.

**** FB and **** Zuckerberg.

I've never used Facebook either, not as a protest against Zuckerberg and his evil empire though, I just couldn't be arsed setting up an account for it.

Looks like another rare occasion where my laziness has paid off.

I would slap my Mum up the side of her head if she had posted weekly photos of me on the internet as I was growing up. Well, I probably wouldn't have gotten the chance because an international child smuggling ring would have kidnapped me because I was Bonds Baby Search baby of the year in 1990 and would have been hot property.

This old girl only joined fb because one of the companies I was interested in ordering from only had fb.

It takes me all my time and biting of the inside of cheek to not call out some people for the shit they post. Each day I get a little closer to not bothering with it anymore.

Crap like “my life” and that’s it
Do I look like I gaf and no I’m not going to ask what’s wrong. Personal life is just that - I don’t want to know what shits in yours, I’ve got enough of my own

You will find in most cases the dogs are from a previous life, their best friend, their loyal mate and the one that will always get fed before they do

We have clients who drop their “trollies” off in the morning and return before close to pick them up. A lot of them if they aren’t on the streets live out of their cars and use agencies that specialise in homelessness so that they can shower and get assistance for food.
Shelters in Perth are constantly fully booked and it’s difficult to get a bed and hence why there’s so many around the streets begging. There are lots of reasons for homelessness but at the end of it all, no one wants to live that way and it’s sad that the numbers continue to grow
Can't help but think whoever said that this.

Fundamentally a result of Australia's ridiculous property situation. I hope those that oppose redevelopments in interests of heritage and character of their suburbs realise this is the result.

Has a point.

It is also a major by product of people's overwhelming support for Pauline Hanson and Tony Abbott style policies to attack those that need to rely on Centrelink.

I don’t agree that’s the reason - no doubt a developer said it. You need look no further than the Sirius apartments in Sydney - affordable apartments for low income, disadvantaged people and what do they want to do, they want to sell out to rich developers and build apartments that very few can afford. This happens over and over again all over Australia. Manna here in Perth had to move from the city because all the new apartment owners complained about “unsavoury incidents” and St Pats in Fremantle had to stop serving meals and others reduce their services due to funding being absolutely slashed. The preservation of heritage listed properties are the least of the problem. Amusingly there are thousands of empty inner city apartments across Australia that can’t be sold and yet we have people sleeping cold - strange world we live in

They're doing that here with in the Hutt St area. Developers build a big f*** off apartment block and all of a sudden there's an alleged crime wave in the area and the homeless need to be moved on.

Is anyone really that shocked by th Facebook thing? I really wasn’t and frankly I don’t really care.

I don’t really understand why Zuck is answering the senate questions, is there any reason he couldn’t just say “it’s cool, if you’re concerned don’t use Facebook” the amount of people getting rid of it because of this would be a drop in a large ocean.

It's about power. Silicon valley and the traditional US power brokers are at odds and fighting over power
What politician doesn't like grilling an opponent that has been caught lying.

Facebook got caught lying, government is looking to take its power base down a peg or two

I'm not surprised they've been caught hell I'm not even surprised at how.inept their response to being caught has been.

I get why the senate is doing what they are doing but why does Zuck entertain it. He could genuinely come out and say “yeh we’re selling all your shit to the highest bidder, don’t like it, quit” and barely anyone would be deactivating. Sitting on his booster seat at Capitol Hill seems like an indulgence he doesn’t have to give.

Legislation is why he has to
He doesn't want the toothless privacy audits they have currently or class actions being proposed to grow teeth and get laws brought in that kill his business
