I have only ever had medical costs covered when I was playing higher level footy. Local footy they never covered a cent

It was pretty well known at our club that the 'insurance' covered SFA but they have to have it as a club.

They always told us to have ambulance cover and income protection insurance to cover ourselves.

You can’t imagine why an obscenely rich guy trafficking underage women to a private island for sex with some of the worlds wealthiest and most important people who then managed to commit suicide in a maximum security prison days before he was set to testify might pique the public interest? I have no emotional or vested connection to Epstein so, to me, he's just another guy who's now dead.

At the absolute bare minimum there is a morbid curiosity with what is a very sad and sordid tale. Couple that with a bit of human compassion for the victims. Perhaps it you weren’t invested in it but surely you can understand why it was news.

I don't think it's that bad, I was living over there when Columbine happened but I still never personally experienced any mass shootings or any gun violence so you would still have to be pretty unlucky to be caught up in something like that, although there is more chance of it living there than here.

Sadly it seems like schools are one of the most likely places there for people to be involved in a mass shooting, they're easy targets for nutjob gunmen.

Johnny is suing Amber for defamation because she claimed she was abused.

I still think most people are missing that this is what the case is about.

Personally while that is technically what the case is about I feel the whole thing is more of a PR thing for Depp to air his grievances and put all of his evidence of Heard abusing him out there on a public platform (and also putting the donations dirty laundry out there). I doubt he will win the defamation suit but I don't think that was even really his goal here.

I completely agree, I think the fact that most people are saying stuff like “Amber is guilty” represents that he and his team have done a magnificent job of changing the whole narrative of the case.

That’s before you take into account he already lost the very similar civil case in the UK.

Yeah, perhaps a controversial fence sitting take on my part but I absolutely believe Depp was violent at times and seems to have lived a 24/7 bender lifestyle, however I also think Heard has massively exaggerated and made it seem like he was pulling WWE moves on her every day. At the end of the day it seems like an out of control addict and a narcissist as a match made in hell.

Innocence or guilt isnt really relevant here.

He is suing her for defamation effectively for claiming that she was a victim of domestic violence at his hands and his position in that case is that he never laid a hand on her.

Not that she hit him too

Not that it was self defense

Not that it was a volatile relationship where both parties acted recklessly and violently

That he NEVER laid a hand on her.

If youve followed the case and heard the details i think they're both massively exaggerating huge swathes of what happened but i also dont doubt for a second that he has abused her.

His team (and frankly the whole legal action) have done a stellar job of making this about painting Amber as an abuser also and that is an aspect that absolutely deserves discussion and acknowledgement but right now, in this legal case, its utterly irrelevant.
