Pop it in the oven to warm, cut it in half and the worst smell wafts in my general direction, have a taste and nope. I'm 98.5% sure that it's off - that or they are the worst cooks ever

Speaking of cooking gone wrong, made a spaghetti bolognese and was letting it cool while I was unstacking dishwasher. Wine glass was a little wet, it slipped, and smashed all over counter. Saw a few shards in the food so had to throw it out. Toast for dinner kids!

Usually during my cooking, I'd use the strainer to remove the broth/water for the noodles/pasta or whatever. Been so used to it so it's almost muscle memory. Get strainer, pour pot into it over a sink.

Last month, I was making a soup and had to do the opposite. Strain the broth and throw away the ingredients that give it flavour.

Yeah, I had to re-cook that a 2nd time.

wow my culinary shit me contribution pales into insignificance compared to recent posts.

take away food from chinese restarant (plastic). when opening mrs norf will take off the lid (which is moist due to condensation/steam, turn it over so top of lid is now making contact with the table, and then put the container on top of the lid which i remind you is moist and may contain traces of food on it.

ok, no biggie IF you finish all the contents. but no, sometimes we dont. and she puts lid back on, resulting in container bottom being soiled with moist contents. container goes into fridge or sits on table.

This has been going on for years, but still pisses me off: When did the trend of autoplaying videos on every single website in exsistence become a thing?

I'm sick of going on a news site and having to wait to click pause so I don't have to listen to random unrelated garbage while I read an article. Seriously there is zero benefit to this, yet it is a feature on every website in the world.

I'm sick of going on a news site and having to wait to click pause so I don't have to listen to random unrelated garbage while I read an article. Seriously there is zero benefit to this, yet it is a feature on every website in the world.

I go to an article because I want to READ about the news item in question not be told about it via video, otherwise I would have searched for and clicked on a video about it! I especially hate it when I am in a public place and have switched my phone to silent and yet these stupid videos complete with blaring sound will still play

Yeah news sites are the biggest annoyance because at least with Facebook/Youtube you usually have an account where you've changed the settings to stop it.

But everytime Facebook updates your app, that setting changed back to autoplay. Probably doesn't now but I've long deleted it.
