Commentators/umps/media people are supposed to keep it professional, not make it personal.

"autism" has taken the place of the word "******" in the insults vocab.
instead of "you are a ******" they say "you are autistic"
its terrible, but shows that calling people ******s (which we have all probably done) is just as bad.

S word?Insulting disabilities is the lowest of lows.
The R word is stupid, harsh and demeaning as is the S word.
People first language should be the norm too.
FWIW, I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome as a toddler but I forgive the use of the words "Stupid, moron and imbecile" but not the R word (even though I've used it flippantly or quoting Napoleon Dynamite) nor the S word.
I also approve the word tardy when describing lateness.
