I know its very early days but could this guy be your version of adelaides Kurt Tippet??? A 200cm player with a great leap and even better hands.

If Vickery is better suited as a ruckman then a key forward as some are suggesting on this board then why not play Derrickx in the forward line along jack.

Hopefully Hardwick plays this guy and no better place to develop and learn then playing in the ones week in and week out.

He was really impressive. Probably the only bright light I can think of in an otherwise crap night. I love a ruckman that can take contested marks like that.

I was very impressed with Derickx.. been a while since we had a ruckman willing and able to take big grabs like he did last night. His tapwork needs working on but that will come with tuition from Lade throughout the year.

Great pickup by our recruiters.

Warncock was very good at blocking Browne around marking contests. Hardwick should have a chat to the umpires before round 1 about this.

Watched the games again this morning and Tommy was brilliant! along with Batchelor and Contin they were the standouts for the new Kids!

Gee isnt Astbury going to a great player! reads the ball so well and is a great kick! Next Nathan Bock IMO, Straight into my DT & SC sides due to the amount of ball he will get and marks from opposition earn big points in SC! great cash cow!
