melbourne's record after thompson was injured and didn't play another game...

St. Kilda (in their slump) - win
Adelaide - belted
Western Bulldogs - win
Richmond - win
Hawthorn - win
Port Adelaide - belted
Sydney - belted (scoreline didn't reflect their dominance)
Carlton - beaten
West Coast - well beaten

we had a 4-5 record when scott wasn't playing, 3 of the 4 wins against easybeats, and out of the games we lost we didn't look like winning one of them... and you wonder why we've been kicking up a fuss about how good he is???

well he will play for the cows next year.

Port not that keen on him as he got injuries that make them stay away

Why thankyou Captain obvious.

Solid contribution.

He was definately a big facto in the midfield for us, hopefully Moloney can step up to the plate

we went after a player like maloney to cover the loss of thompson. time will tell.

Thommo was important to us because he provided us with a hard body presance in the midfield who had a little class.......... and was important to us.

But what we gotta remember is there are 4 young players who will fill Thommos void now he has gone, Bell, McLean, Moloney & Sylvia

I agree that Moloney was defintly a pick up that was organised to cover for Thommo

Wrong, as Port did try & trade for Thompson & offered more $'s, but the Dees honoured their deal with the Crows.
