Yes, but even the worst teams in the comp were thought by many to be on a different level to Essendon this year.

It's really not that difficult a concept.

Many Thought there would be some morbid fascination with watching essendon this season, constant 20 goal hidings and the like. Hasn't really turned out like that, been a lot of positives. Some good young players developing, a good coach in worsfold and the mass exodus of the 12 hasn't eventuated. Think they will be just outside the 8 next season.

Yeah many thought you would be completely uncompetitive - but at a guess only four or five games were like that, the rest your boys had a crack.
