You're right DJ.
After dominating the media with some at times outrageous but always sensational claims of the myriad of offences that The crows had allegedly committed, generally stated as if fact, the Age has gone significantly quiet on any detailed allegations.
I'm thinking that the posse of legal eagles we have working for us may have spoken to both the AFL and the Age about our concerns whether the AFL was prejudicing the enquiry by the release of what should be confidential details to the Age, or alternatively threatened the Age with legal action if mistruths continued to be published as fact.
Certainly there is a major contrast in behaviour by the Age in recent times compared to a couple of weeks back.
if we knew at minimum, we were guilty of X, and X equals 1 x first and 2nd round exclusion from a draft, then it was a good choice, especially if we thought, A) we want to end the sanctions as early as possible and B) we had a good enough draft strategy to get whet we wanted anyway then we haven't done too bad. At worst next year we select Mature Aged blokes to cover early picks.I can't believe we offered up draft picks without knowing what the agreed penalty will be.
Funny.. it's the first time I've ever seen anyone write anything nice about Colin Young on BigFooty, particularly the Adelaide Board. This is the player manager who is infamous for conducting his player salary negotiations through the media, creating fake offers from other clubs in order to drive his players' salaries up. The guy is one of the lowest scum sucking bottom feeders.. yet because he makes one statement, vigorously defending one of our players, he's now someone we want for CEO.Seriously, that dude for CEO

I wouldn't want to see the club employ him as a janitor, far less CEO. Sorry, but one swallow does not make a summer. Colin Young is still close to being the lowest form of life on earth as far as I'm concerned.
Genius is too strong a wordWe took the wind out of their sails.
By admitting guilt, the tension of guilty vs innocent disappeared. The need to round up more evidence to prove the case went away. If that was our plan... genius.
When he said everyone knew and it was why we'd recruited Jenkins
I guess that settles the previous discussion. The AFL last week rejected a request by Tippett for a special convening of the game's grievance tribunal where he hoped to overturn a league ruling preventing Adelaide from delisting him.
It would have allowed the Swans to pick him up as a delisted free agent.
I can't believe we offered up draft picks without knowing what the agreed penalty will be.
I am absolutely being serious.Oh. So you weren't actually being serious. I should probably have guessed.
Channel 7 reported tonight that Phil Harper will have three character references to assist his case on Friday. Chanel 7 claimed that Harper is keen not to be the fall guy for the Tippett deal.
If true, the CEO and Footy Manager relationship at the club can't be good at the moment.

He doesn't want to take the fall for Reid. Nothing to do with Trigg.

I've actually been wondering about the CEO & Coach relationship
If the mail is true it was Sando that escalated the matter to Chapman as he was dead set against taking White whereas Triggy was prepared to push the deal through on the basis that Sydney covered White's salary
Again if true it's not healthy when the CEO's actions is in direct conflict with the Football department
I also noticed when Chapman said during the week that Triggy had the support of the Chairman, Sponsors and players that there was also no reference in his statement to the Coach or Football Dept
This is incorrect. We didn't want White period, Sydney weren't going to do the deal without him. Trigg wasn't pushing deal through - he thought Sydney (Ireland) were being arseholes over something he thought no longer existed. He wanted to go to AFL to get clarification on whether Tippetts could force our hand.
Sydcrow we dont know that. We dont know what went on behind the scenes. And I'll bet it was plenty.
agreed - that was actually my point
Has Triggy told you that? And if that's the case we didn't come clean to be good semaritans, we came clean to try and protect us from the dodgy deal and ever since we've been spinning it.This is incorrect. Jenny we have very different mail
