Don't agree with my opinion. = Troll.
A user ID created only two hours ago - supporting Toby Greene when you pupport to be a Gold Coast supporter - only commenting on this thread - posts started at a time when conveniently other Giants supporters stopped posting - baiting Collingwood.....
I call troll.
You're not clever - just pathetic.

Your probably right but Grundy got fined $2000 for belting Danger Greene got a hefty fine so the issue was dealt with in the way of a fine. Now he misses a prelim for a incident not worthy.

AFL is never consistent, they'll manipulate the narrative to suit their agenda. Only have to look at the Essendon saga and how the AFL's first reaction was to cover it up and when that didn't work they sold Essendon out.

Week 1 of the finals, they wanted to get him off to give GWS a better chance at winning. Hence when he went straight to the Tribunal, they didn't interview Bont re his black eye. Got him to plead guilty, say sorry and get a slap on the wrist.

Very next week he does a similar thing, I agree this one was not as severe however the damage has been done this time to the public image. Makes AFL look stupid they've given him a get of jail free card week 1 with the "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that", media interview which was probably scripted.

Christensen also was made to look foolish by pushing it straight to tribunal, so this time gives a week at the MRO for eye contact. Now that he has week against him, the Tribunal are forced to interview Neale and ask the questions they didn't want to know from Bontempelli.

Totally not surprised on the outcome. Greene was given a chance and blew it by repeating the same mistake he did week 1. He's only a victim of his actions.

To all those imbeciles who are defending Greene and criticising the AFL, please remember that 7 days earlier, that sociopathic grub from GWS was very very fortunate to escape suspension for doing the exact same bullshiit to Bontempelli. He was issued with a whopping $7,500 fine. But he was too stupid & too arrogant to realise how fortunate he was, so he pushed his luck too far. What were people expecting this time around? Another $7,500 fine?? :drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:

I always get a laugh out of reading the idiotic opinions of the Big Footy brain scientists

There are people on here who would complain about the sun coming up and find a way to blame Gill for it. I hate the AFL as much as anyone, but some of you folks need to get a grip. MRP/tribunal decisions will never be perfect. It will always be a work in progress with harsh verdicts, lucky acquittals, the perception of inconsistency and a thousand different opinions on every case. No different to our judicial system.

Was Toby fined $10,000 for his failed appeal at the Tribunal?

I think it costs his club $10k to appeal

But the Giants generate no real income of their own. They're basically playing with the house money. So it's no skin off their nose to spend money on a pointless appeal. The AFL will just add an extra $10,000 next time they top up the GWS account.

Ah, so Toby currently sits at 7 weeks worth of suspensions and over $25,000 in fines. What a lovely guy.

GWS , the themselves are to blame, they come out in public defending every grubby action Greene does. FFS rein the guy in, repeat offences of the worst type plus off field offences. Has been dealt with leniently in the past as well, has a horrid rap sheet.

Show some leadership GWS, stop whinging and playing victim, pull Greene into line. As for Connors, what an embarassment, if three separate bodies find you guilty, you probably are!

The biggest victim in this is Brisbane. He should have been rubbed out for that game (for four weeks).

Completely agree. if you can't see what this suspension was done on the basis of the week before and how he got given a chance you have rocks in your head. The truth is, if the AFL had the balls to suspend him in the first place then GWS probably wouldn't have have beaten Brisbane this week and we wouldn't even be talking about this. The only thing the AFL are really at fault at, are giving him a chance to play after week 1 so their precious GWS could possibly continue into the prelim. But when Green stuffed up yet again, they had no choice this time.

This. If I'm a GWS fan my wrath lies squarely with Greene for even putting himself in a position to be suspended. After all the scrutiny he received from the Bont incident how breathtakingly stupid does one have to be to put your hands unnecessarily on an opponents face in the very next game? It almost defies belief.

He may well have cost his side a maiden GF appearance or possibly even a flag, an absolute dead shit of the highest order.

Oh, so you're just a sook, and stop buying all the tinfoil, i was looking forward to baked fish tonight, but because of you i can't buy any tinfoil.
You don’t need foil to bake a fish. Put foil around it and your basically just steaming the fish, but in the oven rather than on a stovetop steamer. If you want to bake a fish then just stick it in the oven and skip the foil.

Ablett jnr was playing the game for 13 years prior to this with hardly a call for suspension against him if any. Green is well known for what he does.
And WTF relevance does that even have? Andrew Gaff had a clean sheet before knocking the lights out of Brayshaw. The Ablett incidents were far worse than Greene.

I want to catch the juice and make a fish sauce.

I am also lying, i had pies for dinner.

Week 1: wrong offence, no choice except a fine after guilty plea.

Week 2: right offence, so you're saying you made contact to his facial area.

O J Greene, sans glove.

AFL: Having Collingwood people on the tribunal, save yourself the feedback.

Should have got two weeks, easily as bad as Ben Stratton. (Week 1)

The AFL is in desperate need of leadership right now. The next CEO needs to come in right now and settle the sinking ship. I don't like Toby Greene, but that alone shouldn't see him suspended, its a pretty lacklustre system at present. Not to mention having 3 Ex-Collingwood players determine the fate of a player lining up to play a final against Collingwood. Even a mediocre CEO would've identified the conflict of interest and removed these guys from the panel. Moreover, they should have removed themselves. Just a mess all round.
