I'm curious as to how a trade would work given the size and length of his contract? I don't think trading him is going to be very straight forward. Another club would have to agree in part to committing to some of the contract. Bulldogs would likely be left footing some of the bill?

I've seen this sort of post a few times and I think you're all adding two and two and getting 400.That story doesn't add up - if it was just an accident when they were mucking around the club wouldn't (or shouldn't) react like this. Must of been more to it surely
If we end up trading Boyd it will be one of the dumbest things the club has ever done.
We have been crying out for a key position forward for years and we managed to get the highest rated one from a recent draft.
Boyd was contributing solidly before he got injured. He has now stuffed up and will pay the price.
I get that people are angry - I am too, but let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Whilst this may be true, I do question the fact that he's 'not a fan of his talent' (he's 2 years out of the TAC cup system where many experts rated him as the best prospect in 10 odd years) and 'not a fan of him as an individual' (at the end of last year he had just turned 20 years old, ie still a kid with plenty of time to mature). I would be personally surprised if Beveridge would feel so strongly about Boyd's talent and personality at this stage in his career that he would look for a trade so quickly.Ok, the cat is out of the bag to some degree now, so I'm going to say what I didn't say at the end of last season.
The bottom line is this. Luke Beveridge is not a fan. Not a fan at all. Not a fan of his talent, not a fan of him as an individual and not a fan of what he does to our cap.
He lobbied so hard last year that he got the club to the point where it had very very serious discussions with Carlton about a trade. Sos was in. The Carlton administration pulled the pin.
I fully expect the club to re-visit trading him at the end of the season.

The point re what he does to the salary cap, I can see that would be a source of frustration.
think you and I have different definitions of what it means to "polish him off"God he's a piece of shit. How come we were the first to bring it up then..?
Oh wait, Damo is the 'best newsbreaker in the business' even though 90% of his stories have been broken/covered before. Human filth, wish Bev polished him off at the Brownlow.
If this is true we're stuffed.
