Nah Jenkins I meant moreso as in what he could do for you now, though to be fair most of your fans did not see last season coming so it made sense at the time to go young with Tom Boyd. In your window now someone like Jenkins would be a fair asset to have :)

JJ to JJ has a nice ring to it ;)
It's the first time we've had a key forward worth having since he was a kid since 1765. Let us enjoy it for a minute.

1765? :p

And frankly JJ to TB just sounds like another injury :p

Man for all the bad luck the Dogs are having this season they have seemed to be our good luck charm many times. Nick was kicking shockingly til this game then just wouldnt miss on Saturday night, Kosi had his best game ever against the Dogs as I recall and heck even Jack Billings lit up last years comeback game against them too.

No offence, but I turned to my mate after Roo's 2nd goal and said that if Nick was kicking this well, it wasn't going to be our night :(

Didnt get to go Saturday night but did go to Rooeys 300th against you guys and that was a shocking performance not just for him but all our team so was nice for us to get a little revenge for that poor milestone match.

Gresham is a good little player.

Cheers, he has certainly shocked me, that goal against the Cats he kicked blew my mind. Given the length of your list this season I am sure you would have been shocked way more then I have by the diamonds you have unearthed :)

I'm always surprised at how Dalrymple plucks them from nowhere.

Obviously impressed by Bontempellis first 3 quarters but Caleb Daniel seriously looked like he was everywhere in the last qtr so he is the one I am most impressed with on Saturday night.

You guys drafted

Toby McLean
Lukas Webb
Declan Hamilton
and Bailey Dale

before him in the 2014 draft so if any of those guys can do even half what Caleb can your recruiters have won again :)

Kosi had his best game ever against the Dogs as I recall

In all my years watching the Dogs, Kosi's performance at the G stands out as one of the greatest I have seen. He was amazing that day especially in the last quarter.

Hamilton has question marks but the others are all good players. TBH it was one of Caleb's worse games IMO - it sounds silly but he genuinely has never made a bad decision and has hardly had a skill execution error in his career, but he had about 5 or 6 really poor moments on Saturday night. I don't say this lightly - the kid is a star.

Round 14 2005, 19 possessions, 11 contested, 11 marks, 11 hit outs, 3.1 and then went on to kick 16 goals in the next 4 games but then got injured again and missed our finals series :(
The next time we played you Gia ironed him out. :(

Could have been anything bar bad luck.

Rising star even? Weitering is probably the only other one, he has so much composure for such a young player, especially in the back line.

I'm a huge Weitering fan (I sound like a tool - there's lots of players I don't rate), I, like everyone else, reckon he is an absolute superstar, so composed, so skillful etc so I wouldn't be upset if he won it, it's his first year after all, but Caleb would be a worthy winner too. He really is a terrific little player and a great story of perseverance.

Both games we've lost (2015 & 2016) against the Saints, we've had a player do their third ACL.
You guys are bad luck for us. Next year we should just play our VFL side to avoid injuries.

Lure the guy with big money (the only reason he would have went specifically there) then expect him to take a pay cut.

Sure.
You're insinuating that it's the club putting pressure on him, when in reality it's just former players who would have no insight into the Dogs' salary cap structure or Boyd's actual contract.

Why is this suddenly a story? He's two games back from a serious shoulder injury and has been forced to ruck significant minutes in both, the deal has cost us nobody to date, and the trade period is three months away.

This is what happens when you keep giving former players a job in the media.

Bit unfair on Tom TBH, and rather odd logic from Darcy and Mooney.

"The bloke has so much pressure, so lets bring more attention to it and penalize him financially for not living up to those lofty expectations we think he's unfairly being dealt with"

Reckon us 1 and done (so far) clubs and those with no flags should all band together and trade players for a few years and get a few flags back each on the big guys.

Next year you guys can have Wingard, Robbie Gray, Nat Fyfe, Sandilands, Jack Steven and Tom Hickey if the following season we get all those guys plus Bontempelli and Wood :p

Then so on and so forth to Port then Freo. Then everyone wins, well hopefully haha.

From the interview with Beveridge I can see how much all these injuries are breaking your team, and cannot imagine you supporters are any less devastated then Bevo :(

We've tried - Penny, Bevo, Farren Ray :$

Yeah but when you throw in Shane Birss too you go way too far :p

Shame about Luke Penny though, he was shaping up like he could have been anything, him and Hudghton were a dynamic combo for a short time.
