I don't think they'd be asking that at all given the year he's had.If we didn't have Boyd you can guarantee the media/everyone on here would be asking why we didn't throw an offer he couldn't refuse in front of him when Griffen walked out
But isn't that the point? Even if Boyd wasn't playing in GWS's team stuck behind a now-fit Patton, Lobb and Cameron, wouldn't people be saying we would have the chance to recruit a player to play in our 22 wallowing away in the reserves at another club when we had the option to?I don't think they'd be asking that at all given the year he's had.

F Off Moron im bored of you
Off-topic againtry to at least pretend to not be a moron.
The thing I'd be most annoyed about if I was a dogs fan, is that had you not gone after Boyd you would've likely got pick 7 from GWS after Carlton gave it to him (another ridiculously stupid trade) in the trade for Griffen, possibly something else as well, adding to already having pick 6, you could've got Wright and Marchbank or Lever giving you a very good forward and backline for the future, that would make me lose sleep.
And you could say that "he's not very good so that is why we didn't do it"If we didn't have Boyd you can guarantee the media/everyone on here would be asking why we didn't throw an offer he couldn't refuse in front of him when Griffen walked out
You do realise Paddys stats are bought down significantly by the 4 games he was knocked out in?
Fair call, pride v hindsight on the decision is an interesting oneAnd GWS and the footballing world would know we are pushovers. We stood up for once I our existence. I'm proud.
Bulldogs fans are getting really worked up about the rest of the football world talking about Tom Boyd. If you don't like the criticism, I suggest you stick to your own board.
Careful of karma; if Carlisle doesn't start like David Dench next year, he will cop it and no doubt the Saints supporters will defend him, as they should. It's the nature of BigFooty and the media to find a target and attack it mercilessly.Bulldogs fans are getting really worked up about the rest of the football world talking about Tom Boyd. The truth is, the guy cost you equal to two high first round picks, when you could have ended up with Peter Wright as well as a Caleb Marchbank or Jake Lever.
The money he is on no doubt will have an impact on who you can bring into your club in the future.
No doubt he will improve as his career goes on, but we are yet to see any signs that he will become an elite forward of the competition.
Carlisle can play though.Careful of karma; if Carlisle doesn't start like David Dench next year, he will cop it and no doubt the Saints supporters will defend him, as they should. It's the nature of BigFooty and the media to find a target and attack it mercilessly.
In that case, how has his performances been this year?Carlisle can play though.
Intelligent response. Christ.Carlisle can play though.
That's fine, in fact the club has already had quite a lot of criticism of Carlisle. Carlisle is on about 60% of what Boyd is though so I'm not sure his career will be under quite as much scrutiny as Boyd's.Careful of karma; if Carlisle doesn't start like David Dench next year, he will cop it and no doubt the Saints supporters will defend him, as they should. The media are payed to make judgement on the game, they wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't reporting on Boyd's career. As for Big Footy, well that's football mate, if you don't like it, I suggest you stick to your own board. And everyone else is working themselves into a lather to stick the boots in. If you want to do shit like that, stick to bay 13
In that case, how has his performances been this year?
I suggest Bulldogs fans make a new thread on Jake Carlisle, as it has little if anything to do with Tom Boyd.Intelligent response. Christ.
Can I play at your level and go with "he'd want to be amazing for pick 5"?
Your paying half of Griffens wage. And GWS and the footballing world would know we are pushovers. We stood up for once I our existence. I'm proud.
Boyd was out for 2 months with a shoulder injuryNo he hasn't because he has had two interrupted seasons. So nice injury troll.

More like 8 months. Do you even maths? He is also two years younger than Boyd.
Purely a matter of opinion! And with all that going against him, he has still shown more than Boyd.
