All said and done that dropped chest mark at the start had me head in hands.

I bet a lot of the haters barred up. Felt better when Tippett did the same a minute later.

But boy did Toyd respond

Paid off his investment already now when you consider the money through memorabilia etc, wont hit his peak for another few years yet which is scary, wonder what ryan griffen thinks about now...

Big game yesterday, you'd think that could be something that finally gets him going. Seemed down a bit on confidence at the Bulldogs because I remember him in his limited time at GWS looking a bit more confident, even if he didn't do a lot. Clearly has strong hands as seen yesterday, just needs to get to more contests and read the play better, which he did yesterday.

I didn't rate his game very highly a week ago against the Giants and have been critical of him but yesterday he was great. You get the feeling with some players it's just a matter of finding their feet and being confident in their abilities.

Find the opinions of some on here really strange. I remember in 2013/14 how blatantly obvious it was that the Dogs needed a forward if they were ever to get anywhere with this list. They weren't playing that well but it was obvious there was some talent there, and they didn't want another situation like from 2008-2010 where they probably would have been in a grand final if their forward line had more to it. So they get Boyd who plenty suggested they should get, and then many blasted them for the past 2 years for doing so. Yes, he might not ever play like a million dollar guy like Buddy, but they had to make a move like that. Imagine them Saturday with only Stringer and Cordy down there as targets.

Hearing him speak, very croaky, at whitten oval yesterday I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the leadership group at one point.

Despite that little incident with premiership teammate Zaine Cordy he has conducted himself really well and seems to be a natural leader

But they still hate each other, Beveridge wants to offload him to Carlton and he's tearing the team apart.

Just loving the jealousy of the dogs

It was a massively bold move to take such a punt and I have nothing but admiration for their aggressive strategy.

I read somewhere they are in the grand final this weekend. What a great result and a reward for rolling the dice.

I've also heard Boyd is developing nicely.
Jealousy, i would have though revenge!

Boyd is still very young and has the tools to make it.

Hawkins was rather average in his first 5 seasons, and that was with one of the greatest midfields of all time forcefeeding the ball into F50.

Call me Nostradamus!

Dees to play finals football in 2017.
