A forward who wins flags is more aptly referred to as a "gun forward"...not an "average forward'.

So by your definition, meeting expectations of any player is classified as a spud? No one is saying he was elite in those games but to call him a spud is way off the mark.

you are kidding aren't you? He had a great finals series. Played a magnificent game in the prelim after roughie went down half way through the second quarter. His first 2 finals were more than serviceable.

Boyd sees himself more as a ruckman than a forward. Found it strange when he said it but after the last couple of months I can see why he thinks that.

Not sure why Doggies fans get precious over that issue too.
