Jack Riewoldt is a much better player. Hawkins has one season on par (below) what Jack has dished up for 4 seasons straight, and he's fallen away this year.

Tom Hawkins isn't the 80 goal player that everyone said he would emerge into and Jack is the better player than him.

Funny that the issue burns you so much you bump it after Hawkins' worst game.

What a hero.

You mean....his whole season?
As has been stated by me previously, if his whole season has been terrible, like you allude to, how has he only kicked 9 less goals than Reiwoldt, despite playing one less game and being injured?

What does that really say about Reiwoldt is Hawkins has been terrible all year according to you?

Conviently ignoring the extra 7 Jack has set up and the extra tackle Jack has per game, plus extra marks, disposals, marks inside 50...
Riewoldt must be pretty shit then. Massively overrated.
Yeah I know, 4 years with only (more then likely) 60 goals plus. Dud, delist.

But wait.....you have said that Hawkins has been shit all year, yet superstar Reiwoldt is averaging less than 0.5 goals per game more, 1 tackle per game more and less than 0.3 goal assists per game. So he has 9 more goals and 7 more assists, resulting in 16 more goal involvements only, despite having played 1 more game.

All this with Hawkins clearly being injured.

So......I ask again......if Hawkins has apparently been shit (and injured) all year, why has Reiwoldt only had 16 more goal involvements, despite playing 1 more game. Makes him look very poor actually, when you put it like you do!

Riewoldt 2010 - 22 games, 78 goals, 11.6 disposals, 5.6 marks, 2.4 tackles, ?? goal assists
Riewoldt 2012 - 22 games, 65 goals, 12.9 disposals, 5.2 marks, 2.6 tackles, 0.9 goal assists
Riewoldt 2011 - 22 games, 62 goals, 11.1 disposals, 4.6 marks, 2.2 tackles, 1.0 goal assists
Hawkins 2012 - 22 games, 62 goals, 12.6 disposals, 6.6 marks, 1.1 tackles, 0.9 goal assists
Riewoldt 2013 - 19 games, 54 goals, 13.2 disposals, 5.0 marks, 2.0 tackles, 1.1 goal assists
Hawkins 2013 - 18 games, 45 goals, 10.2 disposals, 4.4 marks, 0.9 tackles, 0.8 goal assists

Evidently.

meh' like I stated, Hawkins best is better than Jack's, I never said Hawkins is a statistically better player.

You will need to just sit back and witness what will transpire throughout this years final series. Your boy will wave his arms around and sulk when the ball misses his chest and the Tigers go down in their 1st final while Hawkins will be standing up as he has done so before and try and help Geelong to a 4th premiership in 7 years :)

riewoldt is a better all round player.
Clearly.

Plus if hawkins is playing he is fit.
Stop making excuses.

your avatar says it all really along with your consistent hatred of opposition clubs (Geelong & Essendon) as is evident by your attempted humor in regards to your current location.

I think you'd be a very lonely and angry individual 72 :(

OK.

Did he stand up against Freo last year? FWIW Jack averages more goals against top 4 sides than any other group of teams. Here's how he's gone against the best sides this year:

15 disposals, 3.1 vs Hawthorn (2 goal assists)
18 disposals, 3.2 vs Sydney (2 goal assists)
15 disposals, 4.1 vs Fremantle
14 disposals, 5.1 vs Port Adelaide (1 goal assist)
11 disposals, 3.0 vs Geelong (3 goal assists)
10 disposals, 1.0 vs Fremantle
11 disposals, 3.0 vs Collingwood (3 goal assists)
8 disposals, 2.0 vs Essendon (1 goal assist)

8 games, 24 goals (3 goals per game), 12.8 disposals, 5.1 marks, 1.5 goal assists

Wow, Riewoldt is currently performing marginally better than a half-fit Hawkins.

Boy oh boy woweeeeee.

How many of them did he help the Tiges to win?

Interesting how quick you are to defend Hawkins when injured, however despite Jack not being able to get a pre-season/full-season without copping injuries everyone jumps on his back stating how he's going.

Riewoldt in full flight (what short memories you people have) is unstoppable.

Last year was the only year that Hawkins was better then Riewoldt, even then it was a pretty close call. Every other season Hawkins hasn't gotten close.
The results of this poll is embarrassingly wrong.

You mean the poll asking who would be a better player in 2012, as in last year, the year you yourself said Hawkins was better.

Embarassing indeed.

How is this even a question?

I can't stand Riewoldt and his constant whining (has been toned down a bit this year, mostly due to success though) but ill admit he's a far better forward than Hawkins.

Hawkins scores points as a clutch player though, has ice for blood in critical moments.
