But not perhaps if we think we have enough others to play his role equally well or better - especially if another club needs that role filled badly enough to give us something slightly over the odds in return.
Not many clubs seem to be willing to give up picks that easily anymore, so we might be better off looking for a player swap that helps us fill a greater list need.

We've looked like a disorganised rabble for 5 years. We're finally showing signs of coming together as a unit, yet we're talking about trading blokes out. Mamma Mia.

If he can hold down a backline position, surely Moore will be back forward.
Yet at the moment is playing forward/ ruck in the vfl

As I've said, I'm open to trading out players like Langdon. I just think too many supporters see that 1 turn back into traffic as reflective of his game and are happy to offload as a consequence. I disagree. Even in our game, Dunn made a similar error. You can go through every game and find similar, often highly credentialed defenders, making mistakes. He plays his role in what is becoming an effective defensive unit, yes he cost us a goal, but conversely, he likely saved 3-4. I'll take that every day of the week.

Fasolo is the trade bait for mine.

Jesus, we're 4 games into a very long season, I can't believe posters are looking at trades. Why can't we enjoy the ride for a while?

to be fair i've wanted to trade Fasolo for years..

He's another that I'd happily consider a trade for but he may still have an important role to play in our 2018 season.

I agree with what you’re saying for the most part, especially while WHE is showing that his greatest value may be as a lead-mark forward who can also lead back hard towards goal and get off the chain, while chasing hard enough to retain forward pressure.

Unfortunately, however, WHE is a very ineffective tackler, and Elliott’s career is in the balance due to constant injury.

I’d be inclined to hold Fasolo until we can get an upgrade on Crocker somewhere.

Hate the title of this thread, but its somewhere to post my Tommy love.

He is the most polarising of our current senior players, although not quite in the whipping boy category. Yet he is a key component of our back six, who appear to have arrived. Tommy is brave, he anticipates, he intercepts, he links up and works beautifully with his union of defenders.

Did a good job on Stringer yesterday, and that in itself is cause for celebration.

Every now and then a footballer comes along who makes my skin crawl. Jake is currently at the top of that list for me. Good footballer, but...

Love your sentiment VP. Been a Langdon fan from day 1. Was very good yesterday and fits in nicely with that defensive group. All of them were on song against Essendon. Shaz is growing with every match and Maynard who has coped a bit in the last few weeks was really strong.

Don't think Langdon is someone the club would be looking at as someone to move on. Part of the young leadership group and someone who will have a long career in black and white.
