Looking unlikely he will get a gig in the midfield.....Masten and Gaff still to come in so no hope for Swift.

Should we look to turn him into a tagger? I think that might be his best role moving forward given he has a reasonable tank, speed and is really good as an inside player.

I have watched him play every game for Claremont and can't see him getting a game infront of mcginnity, gaff or masto. In fact, I don't even think he is really a required player at west coast. Potential trade for second round pick?

Where is he? I know Masten and Strijk have had injuries has Swift been injured too?

He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.

He has little time for mere games. Tom spends most of his time traveling around the world curing diseases and pulling children from burning houses and savage rivers. Any of his spare time is taken up caring for that luscious mane of his.

How dare you question the whereabouts of the great man.

I rate him more so than I rate: Ebert, Masten, McGinnity, A. Selwood, Embley. He proved his class first hand late in 2009, he was injured a lot last year and if he can get some confidence into him, he may well have been worth the persistence. Might just be another lateish developer.

not sure if serious?

I'd love to know what that mystery illness that he suffered prior to the Richmond game was. I have a feeling he may not have fully recovered from it.
Good point. He has seemed very 'low energy' for a while hasn't he.

possibly a heavy bout of glandular fever? That would do it...

Am I the only one at least slightly impressed with his WAFL form? His stats and highlights videos are still good to watch.

He'll be a better player than Priddis is. Bookmark it.

Out of curiousity, does everyone that says bookmark it, bookmark everyone elses bookmarks?

He really needs time on the ball where he can use his clean hands and agility in contested situations to full effect. Wasted on a HFF or a wing.
Still very much have hope for him.

Gezz I hope not. Glandular fever can be very damaging to a players career. Daniel McConnell wasn't the same player after he had it.

I was super impressed with his game not last weekend but the one before that. I didnt watch last weekends game though...

I'm glad I'm not the only one, he's been going pretty alright. I'm not so sure why people on here are so overly critical about him. I've never been one to be overly optimistic but I honestly think in 2012 he will make a few on here eat humble pie.

Ive been more critical of how he's been played rather than his form, he's consistent to say the least and gets allot of the ball in a reciever role. I know his best work is in close and by hand so watching him get cheap states from the flanks is concerning.

If Swift got Glandular fever in the last two years he could be have CFS or something similar, i had three pretty lackluster years following it. Missed two months of year 11 with it and my immune system was shot, caught every bug under the sun.

^ Indeed. The sad thing is that if he breaks into the Eagles side, he's still likely to play this role given we are deeply stocked with inside mids, with he, Masten and Stevens all trying to break in playing the same role.

If he played he should play in the same role that a Priddis/Masten would, but won't.
