TPP problems in 2008 and beyond????

I just wonder if at least high profile player will need to be cut(if doesn't accept a big pay cut) for the club to fit under the TPP in 2008 and beyond??

Pay out Belly if he retires for 2008, if not he plays, still on big dough.

Farmer's salary will be cut in half next season. We'll have a bit of pressure next year, but should be fine after Belly's $500,000 is taken out of the equation in 2009.

Hase, Wiz and Des will not be getting pay rises in 08. No chance. I think they will all be taking pay cuts - not because the club is having trouble staying within the TPP, but because their value has dropped.

I'm sure Pav's contract isn't equal payments in 08, 09 and 10 - it will take account for the fact that in 08 we have both Bell and JLo being paid for watching games, and in 09 we still have JLo. Its probably something like a 25%, 35%, 40% breakdown.

Dessie has probably had the greatest output of the three in '07, and his trade value wouldn't be anywhere near what we paid for him.

I'd be offering Farmer a $200,000 one year deal, Hasleby a $550,000 2 year deal and Dessie a $600,000 2 year deal, all non-negotiable. If any or all 3 think they can get more elsewhere then see ya later.

Like Vintage said Pav's reported 2.4 mill wouldn't be $800,000p.a. It would be more like $600,000 in 2008, $800,000 in 2009 and a million in 2010.
