Due to a number of factors, support for the current BigFooty mobile app has been discontinued. Your BigFooty login will no longer work on the Tapatalk or the BigFooty App - which is based on Tapatalk.
Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Apologies if this was already posted
There is so much noise about how poorly the Bombers have treated Rutten.
I suspect a number of their players will want out - anyone we should target?
Or perhaps send Dunkley there to that really strong culture he wanted to join![]()

Dealing with Dido though....Shake the tree for Ridley and Perkins
I don’t see plenty agreeing, for a fact I recall a lot of people on here after the game saying Gardner would have been better suited. Minority, mate.
It’s very comparable when you are using your pre-determined assessment of a player to the extent of potting him at every available opportunity. It’s embarrassing of you and I would also implore you to be a better person, but hopefully you will take that advice on board, as he didn’t.
Much as I hate Carlton, not sure I agreeIf a players chooses to terminate a contract, they are delisted and should be considered as such.
Carlton had to seek special consideration for this 'decision'
Jones retired in Nov 2021 and sat out the 2022 season.Much as I hate Carlton, not sure I agree
Jones was on Carlton's list in 2022 and chose to retire.
If we let players walk out on contracts (for whatever reason), announce retirement, and then re-sign elsewhere the very next season, I think if the left club should be in the same position as a regular free agent leaving.
If not, anyone can retire midseason and leave their club in the lurch.
If a disenchanted big name/big contract player did this it would make the whole free agent/compensation system a joke (or more of a joke).
Believe it is 18 monthsJones retired in Nov 2021 and sat out the 2022 season.
I think 12 months should allow a player to reconsider their playing options.
Really hope this kid gets a good run with injuries, there's a lot to like and has plenty of ticker (and smarts)...Fantastic news
Hopefully he does get a clear run at playing AFL footyReally hope this kid gets a good run with injuries, there's a lot to like and has plenty of ticker (and smarts)...
Yeah but the AFL are writing the script hereThat's what I've heard is usually the requirement too, but can't find it specified anywhere in the AFL's rulebook.
This rule (c) seems to say he shouldn't be a free agent at all - delisted or restricted/unrestricted, so they're bending the rules either way.

If i was Norf, i'll grab him at pick 1According to this article West Coast are willing to use their preseason draft pick to get Izak Rankine if he wants to leave GC and a trade with Adelaide isn't sorted. Adelaide’s offer is supposedly 5 years at $800k p.a. which West Coast would need to be able to match. Surely puts added doubt on rumours here of their cap being tight (which doesn't make sense to me anyway) and them willing to part with Barrass to relieve it.

Really good summary
I hope we can keep JJ on less money.
Hunter seems a key when we win, has faults but seems crucial to me.
I’ve seen little in Parker, but I’d like to trust the recruiters and give him another year.. he’s one I’m actually watching next year for reasons I don’t know other than identifying traits.
Only downside to Parker is him being 26 years old next seasonParker has shown good signs this season but he has had shocking injury luck. I'd give him another year because he offers some class on the wing.
Parker is actually a good rookie type.Parker has shown good signs this season but he has had shocking injury luck. I'd give him another year because he offers some class on the wing.
Parker is actually a good rookie type.
Put him in a professional setup and see how it goes. Using that logic I think we will give him another year in our system.
I like the VFL. I notice you are into it.Yeah, we picked him up as a raw mature age player and he improved game over game this season. Give him one more year and see how he's going at the tail end of next year. If he has improved enough to be breaking into the seniors and has gotten his body right then extend, otherwise if he hasn't then let him go.
The media are making Clarkson out as the messiah I don’t reckon he will be the silver bullet everyone thinks he will be. Time will tell I suppose.Gonna be interesting to see what happens with the north list now.
Most will want to stay but some may be shown the door (Goldy?).
I suspect McKay is well off the table.
